Most of you are familiar
with Metabolic Typing
by now. Several months ago we adopted this tool for all of our new
patients as well as nearly all of our current patients.
Providing our patients
with the best diet has been the cornerstone of our approach to attaining
health ever since I first opened up the centers doors and
started seeing patients nearly two decades ago.
Many of our patients
have achieved quite impressive results, but there were many who
did not improve. These failures are what drove me to search for
new and even better ways to individualize the program.
The Metabolic Typing
Program has done just that. It has further individualized the program,
allowing us to radically improve our patients results, and
I cant tell you how gratifying that is. It is quite the exception
now when a person does not have a nearly immediate and major improvement
in their symptoms.
Metabolic
Typing allows us to identify who should be a vegetarian and
who should consume a modified Atkins Diet. However, no matter what
metabolic type you are, nearly all people seem to benefit from avoiding
grains and sugars as my forthcoming book The No Grain Diet will
detail upon its release in April.
The results with rheumatoid
arthritis (RA) have been particularly impressive. I have seen a
number of people who were on my generalized diet improve quite dramatically
when we did their Metabolic Type and adjusted their eating plan
according to that determination.
Unfortunately, most people
who read this newsletter will only be able to read
the Metabolic Typing book and will not be able to personally
visit our office due to location and economic restrictions. The
patients in our office receive a far more comprehensive Metabolic
Typing analysis that allows us a more accurate assessment of their
type.
The analysis is done
through a comprehensive questionnaire that is filled out online.
I have been so impressed with these results that I have committed
to providing this service online in the coming months so many people
will be able to have this analysis performed without having to travel
to Chicago.
If you have a serious
illness a visit to our office
would be far preferred as we are able to provide a more comprehensive
treatment strategy, especially for emotional issues.
However, if this isnt
practical for whatever reason you will have the Intermediate Metabolic
Typing analysis available online within the next several months.
Another tool that is
profoundly helpful is NST, which is a light massage technique developed
in Australia that activates the nervous system to balance out the
muscles and relieve pain.
If you are a health care
practitioner or massage therapist you should certainly consider
learning NST yourself. We are having an NST
training seminar in Chicago this spring so that interested parties
can learn this beneficial technique. If you are seeking NST treatments,
please check our NST referral list
for a location close to you.
Our chief NST therapist,
wrote the following about NST:
The originator of the
technique now systematized as NST was so astounded with the changes
in his clients that he was convinced it was a "Gift from God."
I have come to this same conclusion after seeing clients who were
experiencing physical pain receive significant to total pain reduction
with NST.
However, clients experiencing
RA symptoms often received only little to moderate improvement with
NST alone. I noticed that clients experiencing RA who received NST
along with antibiotic treatment, improved far more than with either
treatment alone, and that antibiotic treatment alone was more effective
at managing RA symptoms.
Since antibiotic treatment
decreases the amount of blood pathogens (parasites, toxins, etc.)
that can cause bodily pain, it seemed reasonable that the "source"
of pathogens needed to be discovered and eliminated in order to
significantly improve RA symptoms.
I have not come across
a single person who is experiencing RA without heavy metal poisoning
(a source of blood pathogens), and I am continuing to search for
an exception. I have successfully used a heavy metal elimination
treatment in combination with restoring structural integrity via
NST with a client experiencing RA.
At the one-month follow-up
visit, this client was aware of absolutely no RA symptoms, and improvement
has been stable at the 3- and 6-month follow-ups. I am continuing
to use this protocol for other clients, and results have been similar
thus far.
After using numerous
exceptional medical interventions, I found that only with NST were
such clear answers to symptom challenges made available. I believe
that creative clinical research combining NST with other effective
treatments may allow us to find complete and permanent solutions
for everyone suffering from diseases such as RA.
Finally, another worthwhile
book you may want to consider reading is Rheumatoid
Arthritis: The Infection Connection (Targeting and Treating the
Cause of Chronic Illness) by Katherine M. Poehlmann Ph.D, which
is one of the books included in my most highly "Recommended
Books" section.
