About Me

I am about to be 43 years old. I am a wife and the mother of 14 and 4 year old sons. I have studied nutrition and, to some extent, natural medicine on my own for nearly a decade. We are all natives of Austin, Texas, but have lived in Germany now for 2 years. I started studying nutrition as a result of chronic pain that I have suffered from my entire adult life. I think the AMA would probably call it fibromyalgia. I have had good success managing this pain through nutrition. One of my sons has hypotonia and sensory processing disorders. We have not yet received an official diagnosis, but Asperger's Syndrome has been suggested. We were homeschooler's in Texas, and are unfortunately unable to homeschool here in Germany, as it is completely illegal for non-US military persons. This is very difficult for us, because it has greatly reduced the amount of direct oversight we have to our sons' food consumption.
