About Me
I am a stay-at-home wife working with our home business to reach our goals of creating residual income, moving to the beach and living a healthy life. I am always struggling with creating healthy meals for my husband and I. We both grew up in Lancaster County, PA where pretty much all the food is made full of fat and butter and tons of salt. Starting in my teenage years I exercised every morning and only ate one helping of food (unlike my other family members), stopped eating fast food. I stopped exercising when I had to move out of my parents house and then eventually moved in with my husband. My husband and I started walking together and I got my groove back and do Yoga and Pilates every morning and then my husband and I try and go for walks in the evening. My husband is overweight and wants to get back into shape so we are both working towards our own fitness goals. The struggle is with eating healthy now. I am buying organic groceries as much as I can and am always searching for healthy meals. My husband doesn't like veggies and loves his red meat. It's a struggle but every step is another step to eating healthy all the time.

Ok, so yesterday was a beautiful day with my husband. We went to the park after breakfast and threw some frisbee for a little while then we went for a 3 mile walk. It was a beautiful sunny day in the high 60's. We decided to go get some coffee at our favorite Starbucks then come back and just sit on a park bench and enjoy the sunshine while drinking our coffee. We were sitting there about 15 mins then a dad and daughter came to practice her softball so my husband offered to help catch. I stayed sitting on the bench just catching the sun rays...it was so warm and relaxing. They played for about 30 minutes then we decided to leave. I got up from the bench and started walking towards the bathrooms and when I walked into the bathroom my right eye went a little blurry. I thought it was just from being out in the bright sun then walking into the dark bathroom and my eyes needed to adjust. Well then we left and were driving home and my right eye was still blurry..this is when I knew I was getting a migraine. It always starts with my right eye going blurry. That lasted about 30 minutes then I decided to get a shower and was only in the shower for about 15 minutes, got out and started doing my hair when my right hand started going numb, so I quickly finished my hair (since being numb it makes it quite difficult to use it) then I laid down on the bed. About 5-10 mins after my hand started going numb my right side of my face and part of my nose goes numb. This whole numbnes lasts about a total of 20 mins or so then I get the pounding headache on the left side of my temple. This was about 3pm and the headache didn't go away until I went to bed around 9pm. I've been tracking when I get my migraines but can't figure out any correlations. I got a migraine in January, February, March and now May. I started getting these migraines my senior year in high school and when my husband and I were engaged I went to the doctors for them. I saw my family doctor, heart doctor, got an MRI, an echocardiogram, and TEE (something where they stick a tube down my throat to take pics of my heart) and then a neurologist. Throughout all this the only thing I found out was that I have a PFO in my heart and that it might be possible that blood clots are flowing through it to my brain. BUT of course, they really have no idea what causes my migraines. It was pretty frustrating going through all of it just to pretty much find out nothing. I stopped seeing the neurologist because it would cost me $300 to talk with him for 10 mins and the only thing he told me was to keep track of my migraines and to take a baby aspririn every day the rest of my life. Well I stopped taking the baby aspirin's because they did nothing for me and I started learning about natural and holistic medicines and realized that those aren't good for me. Now...I'm searching for a doctor that can help me stop these migraines the natural way. So far...I'm unsuccessful. I'm currently 25 years old and have had these since I was 17 and am ready for them to go away.
