About Me

I am just finishing a science degree at Portland State University in Urban Ecology. I have worked in city water quality, stormwater management, science education, conservation studies and invasive plant research. My personal interests include living frugally, open source computing, natural health, environmental issues, local food movements and gardening, plant and animal systematics, economics and biking. I am also active in animal rights, elementary reading programs and invasive plant removal work. I've been reading Dr. Mercola's newsletters for about 6 years, and I definitely consider him to be an influence on my life.
