Conjeanneal - You made a very good point and I am very well aware of that problem. I hope others saw your comment. For my son, he only eats unprocessed organic real food. And even those foods are extremely limited because of his food allergies, which are in addition to his severe reactions to chemicals in food. Even some "real food" can cause horrific pain---for example, organic chicken breast that has been mechanically deboned (leaving residue of fluoride) has sent him through the roof screaming within a few bites. But he is just fine with unprocessed chicken on the bone cooked at home, even conventionally raised. As you could imagine, he cannot eat anything in a restaurant. It's hard to believe, but at age 29, he has never in his life had even one ounce of pop or alcohol. His only drink---and I do mean his ONLY drink---is water that has never been fluoridated or chlorinated. Many autistic children and adults are sensitive like my son, but their parents have not yet figured it out. It is a very long learning curve. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
