I don't think that glycerin is the way to go here. I never thought that any of the herbal tinctures I made from glycerin were effective. And I'm talking about "legal" tinctures (echinacea, nettle, etc.)You really DO need a stronger solvent to break down the plant material and Everclear has been used because it works. Sometimes you need to add water to any Everclear tincture, but in the case of Rick's oil, I don't think so. If you watched the movie, Run FROM the Cure, he adds 8 drops of water at the end of the extraction process. But this is not necessary with Everclear since it has about 6% or so of water already in it. I just think that Everclear is a "cleaner" and healthier choice in the end. And remember that originally, Rick Simpson used a distillation process to make the oil but he didn't show that method because of cost and availability of people getting a still. He wanted to create a method that "anyone" could do and wasn't going to break the bank. I just can't bring myself to use Naptha since it converts to benzene when heated.
