About Me

My husband and I are dairy farmers who also process our own milk.  We understand milk at most levels as we have been in the dairy business for thirty years.  We eat organic as I have lyme disease from drinking raw milk back in 1975-1980.  I also got babesia and bartonella from it.  Drinking raw milk has its benefits but when the cows are in our pasture the ticks are there also.  After getting bit by the tick the bacterium and parasites travel through the blood and into the milk vein.   If it is not pasteurized the bacteria and parasites that are in the raw milk....can be transmitted to the human.

Unhomogenized milk seems to help many people.  We call this product creamline milk.  It is heated up to 173 degrees and cooled down to 35 degrees all within seconds.  This process also helps kill paratuberculin bacterium which we feel causes crohns.  If you go to the livestock yards, you will see the manure trail coming into the driveway.  The farmers bring their sick cows with johnes (paratuberculin bacterium) to the yards because they will die of dehydration from diarrhea.  This bacterium can also be passed through the milk to humans along with many others including undulant fever and tuberculosis.

There are more cases everyday of lyme disease in Michigan.  I hear of 2-3 people a month of contracting it or finally getting diagnosed with it just in our immediate area.  I wish you did more talks on lyme disease as it is getting to be a very big concern in the US.
