About Me

I am a former journalist, now retired. My children are grown and I live with a wonderful boxer/pit rescue dog who has a large and cheerful personality. I play bridge and word games regularly and am seldom lonely. I am a voracious reader and collector of seemingly unrelated facts. For some reason, minutae stay in my memory, whereas it is sometimes a mystery to me where I left my glasses five minutes ago. I find that sooner or later, many of these facts resurface to complement or contradict some new "fact" that I've read, and it is this that keeps reading about health and nutrition interesting. I enjoy this web site because there is always new information. In my youth, little was known about how the body works together with the brain and since this is an ongoing science, There's always something new to learn, to add to or revise the old knowledge.
