About Me

I am 65 years old, married (husband is retired military) with two children and two grandchildren. I have two chiweenies, Elvis and Priscilla. I like to work in my yard and go to the beach and I watch too much TV and I play games on my computer at Pogo.com. I hate exercise but do some stretching stuff sometimes in the morning. I try to eat the right kinds of foods most of the time but mostly I'm a failure at that. I guess you could say I look for easy when it comes to my health issues. I started coming here several months after triple bypass surgery when I got tired of sitting in a doctor's waiting room hours on end every two to four weeks a month and feeling like my life was over. It is so much better for me now. No meds and no doctor for the moment. I've had two of them send me certified letters giving me 30 days to find another doctor because I refuse to take the meds approach in favor of an alternative/nutritional/natural approach to my health concerns. Plus I don't smoke and I don't drink soda pop all day. Hugs from Florida

Hi Rett,

I assumed that is why this person posted as I noticed she/he signed up for Mercola just today. Not to mention they obviously have little knowledge of holistic health -- ecoli can not be cured without medical intervention --- truly absurd!!

I'm glad you are sticking to your guns!!!! I wanted to provide the information I provided so any others reading this thread had a second opinion :)

If you need ANY help with the transition please do let us know!!! Don't forget the forum on this site. A lot of people there willing to help with different pet health needs :)

I did want to mention too --- when you make the switch go slowly (well, you don't have to but if a healing episode is going to happen going slowly can lessen the symptoms). Healing episodes (some call them healing crisis or cleansing crisis) are not uncommon when switching foods so please be aware it can happen. Watery eyes (sometimes with debris) a bit of off again on again diarrhea etc. Pups should still act healthy during this time -- energy, wanting to eat, happy etc...
