January 7, 2010, my one and only grand child, a granddaughter named Felicity Elizabeth Boonstra, was brutally and violently MURDERED!!!!! She lived in Maple Falls, Washington. I flew out to Washington for the Memorial, to be with my son (her father) and to attend the memorial service. To say that it was sad would be like the animated cartoon character that said, "a gross mis-under-exageration!" Watching her casket being lowered into the grave was the worst part, I knew I'd NEVER see her again, in this world!! BUT I was in contact with several old class mates from grade and high school, who contacted me to commiserate and comfort. Someone told my old grade and high school crush, whom I should have married almost 50 years ago, but was too afraid, she sent me a comforting e-mail. I immediately answered it. We began writing quite often sometimes several times a day. WOW did I remember her!! We talked about a trip to Colorado, and she allowed as how this trip would be a LOT more fun if it was our honeymoon. As they say, the rest is history, we've been married for 3 years, and I have Never been HAPPIER!!!
