About Me
Iam 71 years young. I have practiced as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatry/Mental Health for 40 years. I loved every minute. I now work for Triwest Healthcare Alliance, the Western Region for Tricare the manager for what used to be Champus -- serving the military and families and the retired, as well as the providers for them. I work on the Crisis Line for Behavioral Health, providing crisis intervention, information, referrals and assistance with authorizations for services. I have Diabetes II, stopped all medications and insulin about 3 months ago as I think they are worse for me than the 180-190 high blood sugar. In general, I don't trust medical care from the usual MD. I followed the Rosedale plan and it was wonderful -- however, somehow I let myself off of it and now have a hard time getting back into that process. It is not a difficult diet. I try to eat vegetables, mostly raw and organic as much as possible, but it seems to be a chore. I stick to buffalo and fowl for meat, with an occasional tilapia. I take an inordinate amount of vitamins/herbs -- each of which was chosen for specific reasons. I have two daughters, the eldest I live with and the younger lives not too far. My sister is my only other living relative and she is about 100 miles away. As my beloved and I had accomplished and created our dream life together, it has been difficult since his death in 1996 to create new dreams. I have found that in shamanic and "spiritual" pathways, and believe there is something wonderful coming soon. For awhile I was passionate about politics -- but at this point, my passion is more for that which lies beyond this crazy world. I could go on. I will stop now.
