I was disabled at the age of 53 yrs young due to a job related accident. I was crushed between a very large wooden bench weighing 300lb plus and approx 35 ft long and a concrete column, it was being moved and I ended up on the end of the bench when it was shoved to clear a fence, and no one realized that I was as close to the column as I was, not even me! The seat of bench hit my face crushing from above my left eye, my whole cheek and loosened all my teeth and broke a piece of the upper jaw bone also... the leg of the bench hit me in the pelvic area and broke my lower spine. I had 8 hr major surgery on my face then when that healed up with reconstructed cheek w/titanium parts throughout the face and eye floor socket. Then is when the back became a realization. I could not move without excruciatiating pain in the hip and back area. It took one year and ten months before that was addressed, So it had grown together as was. Finally surgery was done and it took approx, 2.5hrs, the problem is my body was not strong enough to heal the great job the Surgeon had done. Dr. Mercola's products, which are the best on the market, put me back in the game as far as my internal health goes. My family Dr, told me I was dying and she did not know if she could save me. So she did what she could do for me ,AND I started to study Holistic health and started taking products that I knew from my studies that would help me regain my health. As death was not an option for me, At the time my daughter was almost two.. She needs her Dad.. I imformed my Dr of what I was doing and we talked and she and her Husband, who is a Dr also agreed that I had learned enough in my studies of my individual problem and then some, and I continuisly keep learning about my problem and more. I have learned to love the knowledge of Holistic medicine.. and therefore I have played a big part in my recovery to good organ health again. I latched on to Dr. Mercola's site and learned very much from him, and several other places also, too many to mention. I am stuck at home so that is how I use my time is on the internet and reading medical books. All Holistic, I do not take prescription drugs for any organ care. I try to get to the root cause and not just the symptons.. Since the surgery did not heal I am still having bad chronic back pain and now it is extending down my right leg again, which means I have another disc protruding and hitting the L-5 root nerve, I will be having another surgery real soon to repair the failed surgery and also remove the other bad disc above the last site of operation, The Dr will build new cages where the discs were to hold the spine in place with cadabra bones. The peek rods will be extended to the L-3-4 disc area from L-1 with 8 titanium screws. This operation will take about 4 to 5hrs because as I mentioned he has to take apart the existing hardware and replace it, and he is so confident he makes me feel good about it. So it won't be long now, then I will have a long recovery period of about 3 to 6 mo and up to a year to mostly a full recovery. I feel good about this surgery this time. I know I will not be able to return to work ever again but I may be able to get around a little better than I am now. Just not enough to have my life back. I am hoping to be able to interact more with my daughter who is now eight years young. I still to this day use Dr Mercola's supplements and will to the day I die which should be around 40 yrs from now or maybe even longer. I am now 60 yrs young. This is the better part of my story as short as I could make it. I would not wish any of this on my worst enemy. If I had any!!! Best of health to all....
