I am not fromUS originally. (Kenya and Hong Kong,Hungarina parents). . Many US citizen friends live here in Phuket. eg retired gentleman from NY stock exchange, and very wealthy businessman in the credit card printing Industry from Nevada, etc. They say best place to be. One needs to get out often to get some culture, concerts, opera, art, museums etc. if like us, one is into that.
