About Me
I am a vegetarian since birth thanks to my parents raising me that way and my choice to remain vegetarian after becoming an adult. Thanks to my wife I am mostly vegan, especially at home. A couple years ago I went off gluten because celiac disease runs in my family; I have stayed off gluten because I feel a lot better when I do not eat it. I am also almost entirely dairy-free.
I have been working in IT about 30 years as a computer programmer, programmer/analyst, programming manager, and now systems analyst. I graduated from college in 1983 with a really boring BS degree in Business Administration and an AA degree in Data Processing which I thoroughly enjoyed. I love furry pets such as cats, dogs and rodents. Growing up I enjoyed helping my Dad with tropical fish in aquariums. I have played classical guitar since a young teenager, but haven't practiced much in recent years. At the time of writing this bio I am 51 years old.
I have CMT, aka Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which is a degenerative peripheral neuropathy. Mine has primarily affected my lower legs causing foot drop and a steppage gait. Wearing AFO splints greatly aids my walking and balance.
