I have 6 great kids ranging in age from 18 to three. I'm a single mom struggling to find my way.
I homeschool my younger children and my older kids attend a private Christian academy here in Oregon.

My pet peeves are: gluttony, lies, telemarketers, stereo-typing, apathy, hangnails, potato chips, two people talking to me at the same time, sticky floors, county music and/or rap lyrics, whining, soap operas and sit-coms. I am told i am "left brained." I think that means that either i like things logical, practical, and reality-based OR i have only half a brain.
I am an introvert, an idealist, and a wanna-be activist. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or vaccinate my children. I'm a home-birth advocate and I avoid doctors like the plague. I believe in every baby's right to life and every baby's right to stay intact. I believe in attachment parenting and autodidacticism (Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15).

I'm a health nut. I avoid MSG, high fructose corn syrup, soy, fat free foods, artificial sweeteners, and red dye 40. Pink is my least favorite color. There is no such thing as a fluoride deficiency. I believe that iatrogenesis is a real disease and I believe ignorance is deadly. I do not affiliate myself with any political party, but i have voted libertarian in the past (Jesus didn't die for the state after all).
I'm not prone to any special talents, but i have been known to multi-task. For instance, when i make dinner i am usually also doing laundry and/or dishes, planning the next day's lessons, all the while entertaining my toddler.
Most of all, I love hanging out with my kids!

As final papers are being drawn up, i enabled my Facebook and have resumed self-education. My direction has taken a sharp turn, however, as the judge ordered that i put my children in public school after 13+ years of successful home-schooling. My lawyer is hopeful of our appeal as i do the ground work and absorb the information we will need to fight this ridiculous ruling. IM me when you see me on line. I'd love to talk about it or, kids, pets, or any health related subject:)

I disabled my facebook, for now. This current paradigm is keeping me in a metaphoric cave. I'm reminded that this too shall pass and in some years, i will have an altered paradigm that will reflect strength and perseverance. I will wear a cape of freedom, life, and health! Until then, BLAH!
