About Me
Hi there.I am a fifty seven year old Australian.I am retired but have a nursing background.I along with my three siblings was diagnosed with diabetes 2 in 2002.I am a mother and a grandmother to four beautiful,healthy children.
My own children are adults now and are fully aware of how diabetes can change your life.They keep themselves extremely fit.One son plays professional Australian football and the other boy and his two sisters are regular marathon runners sometimes they compete in triathalons.Previous to my diagnosis three of them were in their early twenties,drinking and smoking at will. They had the advantage of knowing that diabetes is in the family so they immediately did something about it.
I enjoy life and keep up an active social life.I volunteer in the community and find it very rewarding.
I am an avid fan of Dr Mercola and I can thank him for helping me living the good life I have today.
