All of my weight is below the waist and I have had this since puberty. I hope you have Face Book--please join lymphedema and lipedema groups. you should also look up Karen Herbst, M.D. for information on these diseases. You need complete decongestive therapy if you are diagnosed, which is the only way insurance will pay for it. You can control lymphedema, but lipedema must be surgically removed. My legs ache all the time and my joints are now adversely affexccted. Although these diseases affect 11 million people, it is widely unknown. I am educating my doctor and making good connections through Face Book to get help.
