Hello, Glad to be your friend. I live in Devon, near the town of Totnes. I get my raw goat's milk from Riverford Organic Farm shop, but it sells out really fast when it's fresh. They do freeze it, but I've found that, once defrosted, it doesn't keep well and has a tendency to separate, so I've given up on the frozen. There is a small goat farm about 3 miles away that I want to visit in the near future, to see if they sell their raw milk direct. I know Riverford get their milk delivered from a Goat Farm Near Norsworthy, Nr Crediton, but that's a bit too far to drive regularly, so I'll prefer to source locally. I haven't seen any raw cow's milk in Riverford, so even though they have their own organic, pastured herd, perhaps there are legal reasons why they don't offer it to the general public. As a matter of interest, I don't know if you've ever tasted goat's milk, but it should not taste of 'goat' at all, it should taste exactly the same as cow's milk- if it does, it's not been kept properly; the raw milk is chilled as it's milked and with full fat, tastes divine. I could easily drink 2 litres a day if I don't stop myself, lol. Been very keen on all things organic since moving down here from Leicestershire 6 1/2 years ago, and especially so since my doc advised my that my kidneys are only working at 52%eGFR, for no obvious reason that can be deduced, so I tend to be very careful with what I eat. I have an allotment that's rented from Riverford Farm, and that has to be kept strictly organic, so I'm confident that all my own produce complies. Can't believe I actually like vegetable gardening!! Nothing like grubbing around in the dirt - presently on caterpillar-picking off my brassicas, pesky butterflies will be gone soon though.
