What I have found over the 19 years of working on myself is… “How many psychotherapists does it take to change a light bulb?” Think about it! Only One, But the light bulb has got to want to change. What’s my point? I can only inspire people at their own level of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and initiative level of reality; they ultimately have got to want to change. Not because their Dr/Husband, lover (fill in the blanks) states it, BUT because they want to discover what HABITS they have conditioned themselves to perform, which do/do not serve them! They will be required to put themselves under the microscope so to speak and discover HOW TO establish ‘healthier’ lifestyle choices. Many people say they want to prevent or even reverse their dis-eases, but is that true? What are they prepared to do? Two main statements I make, which I’d like people to understand right from the get go! 1. Always accept your reality. You don’t have to like it! 2. Never take things personally. It’s not your job to take it personally! Habit #1 “Think only thoughts that serve you” T – A = R + ND. Your thoughts lead to your Actions or behaviour, which equal your Results/Reality or outcomes + a New Destiny. Basically if people are not happy with their Reality/Results, Simple, change your thinking. “Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them” Einstein. Remember substances do not make demands on people… What are you addicted to which is taking away your deposits in your Health Bank Account? Naturally if I can inspire them to find a greater love than the one they already have – Perfect. Ultimately people do what they do because they want to FEEL GOOD and control their emotions. Habit #2 “Remember to breathe like a baby” I ‘remind’ people how to breathe fully and deeply so as to massage all their internal organs and as a result, they feel relaxed, gain more energy and burn more calories. As we age we generally become CHEST breathers. That stresses our bodies. Habit #3 “Drink good water daily” I talk about parts per million (ppm) in water, pH and remind people to drink ½ their body weight in fluid ounces (according to Dr Batmanghelidj). Our bodies pH is labelled as healthy at around 7.45. Remember the power comes from the Q, not me telling people what to do. Are you able to drink 2 litres of water daily, with or without lemon, herbal teas of any variety that do not contain caffeine or sugar? NO caffeine after 1pm. Habit #4 “Eat the foods right for you” The crux of this is your Metabolic Typing diet/Lifestyle programme. Seek to understand what foods (not products – anything with a SHELF LIFE will not have a SELF LIFE) are right for you and what proportions. Supplements are key, but not an alternative to consuming alive, whole foods that were on the human menu 10,000 years ago. In fact if it wasn’t you have a better choice to make. If you can choose organic and if nothing else please buy organic butter. All toxins are stored in fat and tissues! All my work comes with a guarantee. And I can guarantee you that if the 7 sins below are removed from your diet; you’ll lose weight, feel better and not have the same dis-ease challenges. 1. Gluten (wheat, bread, cereals, pasta) 2. Sugar anything ending in OSE/OL/IN on the food labels 3. Salt (except Celtic, Himalayan or Hawaiian Salt) 4. Pasteurisation 5. Soy/a 6. Sweeteners 7. Processed oils I also offer alternatives to the above if people still want to be addicted to a class 1 drug – Sugar. It’s as addictive if not more addictive than nicotine and put in the same class as LSD, Heroine, Crack Cocaine etc. Read Dr Candace Pert’s “Molecules of Emotion” Also Do NOT apply anything to your skin that you wouldn’t eat! Habit #5 “Get to bed by 2230hrs” I inspire people to start changing their circadian rhythms if they are out of sink. I have produced a comprehensive list of all the factors such as router systems, caffeine, alcohol, electrical, bright lights, running water, etc that will act as inhibiting factors, as well as consuming foods wrong for them before bedtime. Simple… when the sun went down, we went down. Naturally there is flexibility and of course if we are now living in a different time zone/hemisphere than when we were born and raised, that too may play a role on people’s sleep patterns. Habit #6 “Do some creative movement daily” The word Ex-ercise can scare people. So I use the term ‘creative movement’. An Ex is a has been and a size is something people don’t want to become! A play on word for sure, but being serious kills passion and it kills people, so I’m not always serious all the time… except about your health We were created to move, if fact you might want to remember this. “Emotion is created by motion” the speed at which we move and the duration can either help or hinder our quality of life. Find what modality works for you. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Zone exercises, Pilates, walking, jogging, running, gym, gardening, etc. I recommend people spend at least 30 mins everyday doing something they love and or enjoy, which makes them feel great. Habit #7 “Be the source of fun and celebrate your successes” I have found that people do not know when they have created a success in their life, e.g. managed to get out of bed after the alarm went off the 1st time, rather than hitting the snooze button a few times! Success for me is creating many pleasureable moments and finding out who I am. What does success look/feel/think like for them? What does fun look like to them? What would they be doing having fun? Naturally everyone is different, what I have found is that FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) causes people to become UNREAL. What will my parents think of me? They may not like me… and all the other BS (Belief Systems) we have installed in our super brains, which don’t serve us or those around us! Habit #8 “The definition of insanity” – doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result! “Become the change you want to see in the world” – Gandhi Where in our lives are we playing small and continually sabotaging our goals, by not having clear defined outcomes/results. My above equation in Habit #1 comes into play again. This may be linked to products (inc drinking wine or other societies socially acceptable actions or behaviours). There are two main choices in any one moment – you can either be YOUR BEST FRIEND or YOUR WORST ENEMY! Choose wisely. Holding onto the past pain creates more suffering and I have found that defence is the 1st act of war. Change your thinking and add clarity about your goal setting. I use descriptive masculine and feminine energies to remind my clients how to become empowered and take control of their mind & body. Whose Business are you in? There are 3 types according to Bryon Katie. God’s, Someone else’s and your business. I provide examples and remind people how to let go of anything that has got nothing to do with them! Did you know your behaviour is always correct? Think about it. Habit #9 “Practice forgiveness of others and Self” A person who doesn’t love themselves will never allow anyone else to love them more. In other words, I can only fix my Toyota Prius to the same degree as someone else’s. Our society has created a FEAR culture, which allows people to become VICTIMS, one of the greatest dis-eases on this planet, which is bigger than cancer, CHD, IBS, Diabetes and all the other Westerner’s dis-eases put together – VICTIMITUS “The past has gone, the future is unknown, that is why today is a gift and is called a PRESENT” Anonymous What are they holding onto, which does/doesn’t serve them? What else could they focus on? I use Bryon Katie’s “The work” if I feel it will benefit them. I use 5 Q’s and then turn it around. What do you love about yourself? Let’s start there. What have you learned about yourself? “What meaning do you want your life to ultimately be about?” I use a mirror exercise with clients to find out the degree of their love and understanding of self. Habit #10 “Have a clear purpose with an open loving heart and leave a legacy behind you” A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder! If you could choose to do anything, that did not lead to failure, that you enjoyed doing, what would you choose to do? I have found that conscious people’s context/position allows them to get more access to their resources and feel great in their actions. A wonderful position or context to come from would be: “In service to others” “Love and gratitude” “Being the change they want to see”, etc. Most people’s context is “I’m right, you’re wrong” They would be required to find out what their true love/core is all about. I have found people bring in blocks due to what Dr Stephen Covey calls, their “social mirror” conditioning. I’m sure you are aware of Dr Bruce Lipton’s & Rob Williams work – Between 95-98% of our actions come from our subconscious mind. That means all our behaviours and emotions have been ‘given’ to us by our parents! Do we want to interrupt your patterns and create new ones? If I asked you right now “Who are you?” What would your response be? I am… Love would be the closest you could get.
