About Me
I am an active "spry" man that likes physical activity. This last June, I ran the 400 meter race and 100 meter race in the Kansas City Corporate Challenge track meet competition. ( the 100 meter took me 18.00 seconds)
My blood pressure and heart rate are that of a 20 year old. (BP=116/66. HR=70)
A man told me I look much younger than my age. (And so have women, wow!)
When I was working, (before retirement in 2007) I went to aerobics class instead of eating lunch. I ran a 5K 9-11-10 and October I will run a 5K race.
I lost my wife last March 19th to breast cancer. Feb 8, She came to me sobbing and said,"there is something I have been keeping from you. I have one nipple that has dissapeared and is an open sore. Then we ran her through the medicalization thing.They drained 7 liters, 35lbs, of amber colored fluid from her stomach cavity each week for 6 weeks and then, she was gone. If it weren't for the fluid, she might have never told me. We went steady through high school and married when she graduated and so we were together our entire adult life and I cannot adjust to living alone. It is coming up 5 months and it gets worse; so much for time healing everything. I am so ready for the tears to stop and for laughter and loving fun companionship to return to this empty house to make it a happy home again. I am looking to find that loving caring companion. (i.e. WIFE.) What does this have to do in a health letter? Everything! 1/2 of me is in Heaven and 1/2 is left here behind. And yes, it affects my health. My motivation, My careing about me. I have never ever been just me, It has always been "us".
