About Me
I'm an artist and illustrator with a past life as a government lawyer, working in the medico-legal and environmental fields. For 10 years I was legal advisor and advocate for the New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation, dealing with tricky legal and medical issues around accidental injury, medical misadventure, and the definition of 'accident' when applied to certain medical states and pre-existing conditions. I also worked 2 years as lawyer for the Commission for the Environment, which at the time was the main environmental advisory body to the govenment. Circumstances made me move home to the country, and I looked after my mother with Alzheimers sole charge for 10 years. That was another leaning curve in the field of health. I now work from home, on the net and illustrating in the real world.
