About Me
I'm an an avid snowboarder in the winter and early spring, hopeful kite surfer in the summer and fall, and also enjoy Bikram Yoga, running, spinning, and snowshoeing. I think I've become addicted to the endorphins produced by exercise :) I also believe stretching is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies.
It is imperative to remain active and to eat whole foods, and I've made the pursuit of knowledge in health one of my hobbies. Dr. Mercola is, by far, my favorite resource. He has introduced me to interval training and the Power Plate (I now have the My5 in my home) as well as the benefits of raw whey protien, and so much more.
As for diet, I'm gluten-free and limit consumption of grains, corn, sugar, and dairy. Only organic produce makes it way into my kitchen, along with wild fish, grass-fed meats, and organic poultry. I am a truffle-addict, and always have truffle-salt, truffle-oil, and truffle-butter on hand. Everything tastes better with a hint of truffle :)
I also subscribe to Dr. Becker and have my little 4-pound dog on the raw food diet, supplementing her with astaxanthin, and Chlorella (which she LOVES; I give her the tiny tablets as "puppy treats") Nearly every vet and kennel owner she has encountered raves about her health, activity and energy level, and excellent teeth. Plus, she never has a problem with fleas or ticks. I fully contribute it to her excellent diet. So thank you, Dr. Becker! :)
