Yes. For diabetics and me (colitis), no grains, including wheat. According to Drs. Volek and Phinney, authors of The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living, about 1/5 of the population can thrive on a low fat diet. The rest of us (overweight, need to lose weight, metabolic syndrome, diabetes) probably have carbohydrate intolerance and would thrive on the low carb diet.
