About Me

I'm a 73-year-old single woman living in an apartment in Oregon. I retired from first working in medicine then returning to university for equivalent of MBA in Small Business Management. I am also a copy editor (dissertations, theses, books people write) and a proof-reader. I want to restart my business soon if possible. I had a couple of bad accidents, breast cancer (8 year survivor), two surgeries to repair errors in a 1997 surgery (inferior suture material caused necrosis of colon and lots more). I do have FMS/IBS, but as I settle down after family crises including deaths of my parents in their mid-90s and then my only sibling five years ago at this time. I enjoy photography and have many of my photos taken here and there in Oregon and Washington (born there). These can be seen at http://community.webshots.com/user/lindsay9 if one desires to do so.

I'm interested in feeling better and getting to moving more and more. I sort of got the "poop" knocked out of me with so many surgeries close together and taking my adult children in for far too long. Now I have to work on ME. :o) I want to return to the university (free to seniors) and do more editing/proofing work as I learn so much plus I'm good at it! I've done it for most of my life. I understand the importance of nutrition, exercise, rest and yet I feel very tired and have lots of pain. I'm working in physical therapy with a very savvy sports medicine gentleman who understands FM. I have a long way to go. And I must as many of my family members live into 90s, even 100s!! I need to get my BP down, and I'll be fine. Thank you.
