Dr. Mercola perpetuates the "breast is best" marketing slogan yet has never provided data proving this marketing slogan to be true. He has never mentioned any of the studies which point to an increase in allergies and mental health issues in breast fed babies. He has never addressed my questions as to how an American with a diet consisting mainly of processed foods (rich in heavy metals) could possibly have nutritious breast milk. If young girls and young women knew that their dietary choices could make a significant impact on the health and intellectual development of their unborn children perhaps they would make better choices and demand more of their supermarkets, the FDA, et al.
