I feel much better since having several silver fillings removed. I had a bridge put in the front when an old root canal kept getting infected. When they pulled the tooth it had mercury in the root canal. My teeth stained a couple months after-worse than I've ever seen. My dentist says that happens frequently after amalgam removal, thought to be detoxing of the gums. Cleaned right up by hygenist though.

I did a clifford test to see what materials were compatible for fillings, crowns and bridge (one test tells you all of this). I use a boilogical dentist (and an intergrative dr) for my health care. The biological dentist will ensure you don't inhale/swallow the mercury while it is being removed. I am hoping that my blood tests will start improving as well.

I will try the coconut oil rinse.

This is all new information to me. My first question is: If I have amalgam fillings in my mouth, am I at risk of releasing mercury by taking the mercury test? If so does that mean I have to have the fillings replaced before I can take the test? Thanks in advance for any advice.

After hearing about amalgam fillings, I had all of mine taken out. I also had a crown put in (much to my dismay but I thought necessary). Ever since then, I have been experiencing ringing in my ears that I never had before!!! Is it possible that those procedures caused the ringing in my ears? Also, I was just informed that my crown is made with metal inside!! Will that cause ringing? I'm looking to change my crown. Any ideas?

I heard that composite fillings are made up of numerous materials including 50 percent mercury. Is this true? If so, it wouldn't make much difference to remove mercury fillings and have composite fillings put in. The safest way to remove the mercury is most likely to have the tooth removed?

There should be a Website where we all post dentist names that use amalgam on children and who say there is nothing wrong with it. We often say or wonder, "HOW on EARTH can they do this (put amalgam in children's mouths and look you in the eye and say 'There is no cause to worry'". The simple answer is this: many non-holistic dentists have only care about the huge amount of money they make. Amalgam-filling dentists have told their lies so many times, they don't even think they are hurting anyone. It truly is sickening HOW our entire dental and medical field as become SO TERRIBLY dangerous. PEOPLE: you must research ANY dental and medical procedure, always get at least two different opinions, and optimally, go to a HOLISTIC doctor who cares about YOU. I know, it costs much more, and sometimes can cost a fortune. If you cannot cut costs (like cable TV), or if you cannot sell assets, this is certainly one good thing to put on the credit card even though it increases your debt. We each have to decide HOW healthy we want to be. And we are probably beginning a new revolution about putting health first, because without it, you have very little. Now to all that have amalgam fillings -- go and get it done ASAP. Every week or month you wait you are being further poisoned. There must be SOME way to get the money to have the procedure done. FIND the way (use positive affirmations from Louise Hay), and put your health first. Believe me, I had 13 amalgam fillings 3 years ago, and have terrible fibromyalgia. Today, I am 95%-free of pain, and I am looking into other potential poisons (accumulated, present) that will get me to 100% pain-free. Good luck to everyone on this. Does anyone have an recommendations for any Dentists that use alternative amalgams in the Chicago area? If not, I only have two teeth with Amalgams, I may just resort to getting them removed (2 molars - 1 top, 1 bottom)

Holy crap! That is so scary! I only have 3 small fillings but after seeing what that one smoking tooth was emitting I am absolutely horrified! I want them out now!!! My only fear is the removal safe! I do not have any wholistic dentists in my area! Yikes! I guess I could have them removed and have composite filling put in their place and then do a good heavy metal detox? I guess that is my plan. Anyone disagree/have any imput? God! Why the hell do they use this crap??? Then again, why the hell do they fluoridate our water, ok dangerous drugs, allow the consumption of sugar and grains... Should I go on?

Ok...so I am a huge fan of what Dr. Mercola is doing. Having said that, and knowing that I have had too many Amalgam filings, I have been researching the information on the internet. According to this article, mercury vapor should not be rising off the tooth like it is (as it is too heavy). Is this true, thus making the video false?

I have a lot of experience with removal of mercury. I have removed the mercury from my teeth and so have a number of family members and friends who I convinced to do so. In EVERY case, serious psychological and physiological problems disappeared almost literally overnight.

These included:

o Numbness in extremities

o Floaters in the eyes

o Anxiety/panic attacks

o Suicidal depression

o Joint aches

o Muscle spasms

o Shooting pains

o Agoraphobia

o Extreme shyness

o Bowel problems

o Urinary problems

o Weakness

o Extreme fatigue.

There are many more. My mother in law had been diagnosed with Lupus. Dear Ellie,

Have you heard of CaviStat which is an alternative to fluoride? If so what is your opinion of it as a remineralizing agent? I have decided to avoid anything fluoride because of health risks especially with ingestion in young children. There's no way I can allow my 5 yr old to brush much less rinse with a fluoride containing product. I don't even want to take a chance with my 9 yr old (he had his molars sealed last year but I wish I knew about using xylitol before I had it done). If CaviStat holds promise for being just as effective as fluoride in strengthening and protecting teeth and is non toxic (safe to swallow), shouldn't more dentists be using this alternative?
