The first one they prescribed, Microgynon 30 (which I later found out is the cheapest one available to the UK NHS which is why they give it to you first), left me an absolute wreck. My legs itched like mad to the point where I'd wake up in the morning with raw, red scratches. I had strange headaches. I was already depressed for the first time in my life due to SAD (having just moved to the UK from New Zealand), and this pill sent me into the worst depression I've ever experienced. I was all over the place, angry, paranoid - I remember crying because I looked at a tree!! I went to my doctor and demanded a new one, who told me I was being silly and basically patronised me, told me to just give it another few months. I insisted on another one and refused to leave until he'd prescribed one, and left with Cilest. This one I'm very strongly contemplating stopping after this month is up. I don't have any of the depression - it's been replaced by a whole NEW bunch of problems. Why is other contraception so bloody expensive?! Oh, that's right, it won't make you ILL like these pills do = less money for Big Pharma!! Grrrrrrr!!

I became aware of this site because for the past yr i have been looking for relief from my "lupron induced illness". i didn't have any medical problems until the shots. now i suffer from wacked out hormones, insomnia, rapid heart beat caused by adreanal rush (which i believe is caused by my super high testosterone levels), dementia (i call it that because i no longer can think clearly & i have memory problems), extreme fatique from lack of sleep & the heart thing, sever mood swings, this isn't even the tip of the iceburg. I started going to my doctor during & after the shots to find out what was going on & he said that nothing was wrong. he put me on zoloft, effexor& zyprea. i asked him about lupron & he said it couldn't be related. i went to another doc who tested my hormones & she told me they were WAY off. after researching the web i have come to the conclusion that my pituitary gland is messed up. that's when i found the article Dr. Mercola posted about the pituitary/lupron. i have been reading "The Truth about the Drug Comp" by Marcia Angell, MD It's very interesting, among other books. i messed up taking any RX drugs. i knew better but i let the doc scare me w/ his pamplet about endo. i always used herbs, amino acids, minerals & vit for most of my smaller problems. i am slowly trying to "cure" my "lupron illness". i plan on taking a pituitary gland test & then fixing my self at the source of the problem. i should have listened to my father - father knew best, at least on this matter, just kidding dad.

During perimenopause I was prescribed birth control pills as a low dose HRT. I then got high blood pressure and since the MD wanted to put me on meds for that, I insisted on a diuretic because I had read they had the fewest side effects. I later realized that prescription medications were not the path to radiant health and have managed to get off all that.

Get this: Hormones elevate Blood Pressure. Diuretics reduce BP, but they also leach magnesium, potassium and zinc out of ones system. Potassium and magnesium are critical to regulation of BP - So now I'm supplementing to try to restore minerals that were lost in order to naturally control BP. I'd have been better off never to have started with the prescriptions!

We're all at risk, as these people will stop at nothing to get every man woman and child on planet earth on drugs, and those who refuse may end up in "concentration camps" of sorts.

To say our children suffer ADD, and so he or she is given some pills. Now these pills turn your child into a Zombie, a Zombie who cannot learn. The real problem is that before we send our children off to school, we have loaded the child up on sugar, in the form of our old friend "High Fructose Cornsyrup," in this breakfast cereal and that, and by the time he/she gets to school they are in the mist of a sugar rush, and bouncing off the walls. Cannot slow down. The school suggests you take your child to see a doctor, and instead of trying to find the cause of this "Rush" your child is given several prescriptions. At the same time he/she is craving sugar all day long. Next there are several soda machines in the hallways of the school, enough to pre-embalm the world if need be. Then comes the lunch break, more sugar, like throwing gasoline on a raging fire. Once home more sugar, in the form of a snack. Add to that a nutritionally poor meal in the form of a processed food, and WE have created a monster.

Sound about right? Start with your son's or daughter's diet, make a journal of what he or she is consuming, or not comsuming, before you put your loved one in the hand of some "Pill Pusher." Start his/her day with protein, and demand a good healthy school lunch, without all the processed foods. Your child, their future.

Batmanghelidj, M.D. - and I will now use it as ammunition at my doctor's office when she starts to write a prescription for what she says is my high blood pressure 130/90 and a high cholesterol level - both of which, I just learned from this book is caused by dehydration. It seems as we grow older, our body does not tell us we are thirsty as it did when we were younger. Can you imagine how drug companies would suffer if you just needed to drink water instead of high blood pressure pills and cholesterol lowering drugs. They would be bankrupt. Yeah!

She is on a number of medications like water pills, statins (Lipitor), allergy medications and others. The vast majority of her ills can be reduced or eliminated by eating properly and not giving in to her urge for "comfort foods". I also believe that much of her ills are caused by the drugs she consumes but she can't figure that out unfortunately. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

I unfortunately had Lasik surgery back in 2003 to correct farsightedness in one eye. The surgery worked for the most part but left me with severe dry eye. Imagine blinking with sandpaper in your eyes everyday. That is my world every day and this happened only because I trusted what a doctor told me. Since then I've learned a tremendous amount about Lasik, thanks mostly to Doctor Mercola. If I had known back then what I now know about Lasik, I would never (in a million years) have ever done it. Of course the Lasik surgeons never tell you the truth about the dangers; they would never make any money. So they're no different than the drug companies; serving up people's lives all in the name of money.

I've pretty much stopped going to doctors and eat a well balanced diet based on Doctor Mercola's recommendations. My body weight has been greatly and naturally reduced and I'm happy to say that I haven't been sick in a very long time. I listen to my body now, to me and not doctors anymore.

Anyone who's on medication of any kind would be wise to research the possible side affects and switch to a natural solution instead of using dangerous drugs. They're out to get the uneducated and those who believe in doctors as a way of life. I for one have decided NOT to let that happen to me. No doctors, no grains, no processed meats, no pasteurized dairy products and NO drugs.

My question is how many more people do these drugs need to kill before they are seen for the wolf in sheep's clothing that they really are.
