hey folks...calm down....Ron Paul is not perfect.....however, he's the best candidate we've got by far.....closest to a true constitutionalist.....democrats and republicans are the same stinky critter, just with different colored stripes.....Ron Paul is basically a Libertarian.....and while I don't buy all aspects of Libertarianism (such as open boarders), their philosophy resonates best with me....Dr. Paul supports abolishing the Federal Reserve and returning to the Gold Standard......he believes that we should not be meddling in affairs all over the globe.....he may not be electable, however, I will vote for him and sleep very well at night.....until everyone quits voting for the lesser of two evils and votes their conscience, nothing will change.....Ron Paul is a good start and a breath of fresh air…..and, oh by the way, the only real way that things will change is Congressional term limits…..the founding fathers never remotely conceived of career politicians….and if we can have term limits for President, then we can have them for Congress as well….

Ron Paul has some good ideas, but so does Mike Huckaby. Unfortunately, Paul is too far outside the mainstream to appeal to most voters. And I wasn't too impressed when I saw that he had obtained either $200 or $400 million in earmarks. I can't remember which amount it was, but neither is defensible. And instead of a rational explanation like, "I do it, because everyone other than Jeff Flake and John Boehner do it", he actually issued a statement defending his actions.

He may be a little unusual, but he's no revolutionary that I would follow. Renounce earmarks, Ron.

AS a resident fo Texas and a DO family Medical Pratitioner I am very well acquainted with this Docor and congress man who lives 60 miles from me out side Austin Where I reside. I find him genuine and a breath of fresh air .I like his idea to do away with the IRS and the Federal Reserve. I may support him he is the only one i see that makes sense and I am no Republican but people can change parties and do. Personally, I feel that Ron Paul is the real deal. ... An honest man with real virtuous intentions to help this nation and it's people,.. and strictly for the well being of it's people. ...This is a very rare thing to see someone of such caliber and honesty, not only running for President,.. but in fact getting as much attention as he in fact is.

With that stated, .. I am sorry to have to say,.. I do feel that my sense is that the hidden power structure that is controlling things in this country and the world,.. will never allow a man such as Ron Paul to get into office. In my opinion, freedom became nothing more than an illusory ideal quite some time ago in this country.

I would say that nothing short of a revolution is going to create the possibility of establishing the true Republic which the founding fathers had intended. The present power structure in the world is much too powerful and intent on moving forward with it's agenda for the world.

In my opinion, the only thing that the Bush administration has done for the American people, has been to blatantly expose the fact of an extremely arrogant, elite power element that is willing to implement whatever destructive actions it deems neccessary to promote it's agenda for national and world control,.. and that power element is represented by both the Democrat and Republic parties. To believe otherwise is, in my opinion, to be extremely nieve and uninformed.
