Would he kindly explain how an Arab, last reported by the cia dying in a Mid East hospital of kidney failure , then nips off to a cave in Afghan and from there shuts down the half trillion dollar US air defenses with his laptop, so that his incompetent pilots wil not be intercepted. These kids then board airliners without being on the pax list, CNN, that means no tickets or boarding passes, and they avoid boarding cctv. They overpower burly US pilots with boxcutters, find the secret air corridor between US and Canada where there is no Norad nor FAA radar coverage, then fly beyond topgun abilty to hit buildings, after high speed descents, without having practiced that on the simulator umpteen times. Of course one of them, the penta hitta, couldnt solo a Cessna 172 with 600 hours in his log book., but still managed not to touch the Penta lawn with his low slung engines, then put the fuselage thru the wall at ground level, Thats flying... I couldnt have done that with my 8000 hours ,as a retired airline training captain. They then vapourise planes at 3000deg C, yet the govt recovers all the penta DNA, which would normally be destroyed at 100 deg C. Right Dr Merc? Then BBC reports half still alive. Plus 300 more anomalies, so lets keep the elite`s conspiracy theories of osama baby out of the health column and debate the vaccines.

Before we overreact to the single issue of the non-banning of thimerosol, let's first understand that this is the HHS-Labor-Education Appropriations Bill, not the Thimerosol Ban Bill. The way the whack-jobs get their crapola passed is by combining multiple provisions into package legislation, such as war funding with environmental protection, social security reform, etc, then pointing multiple fingers at multiple opponents accusing them of being against one thing or another they're actually in favor of but oppose some other feature, etc., etc.; or else being in favor of one thing when they actually voted for another part of the bill. This goes on CONSTANTLY, especially at campaign time. And all kinds of dangerous & un-Constitutional garbage gets enacted this way.

I'm not a Bush apologist, but note his objections are "the cost and 'objectionable provisions.' ” The cost of what and which provisions are objectionable simply aren't specified. It wouldn't cost much to ban thimerosol and it wouldn't be objectionable either, so take your pick, from the HHS part, or maybe the Labor part, or even the Education part -- it could be any of those, or even something not actually in the Bill's name: Thimerosol isn't mentioned in the name, that's merely one tiny provision in the typical complex legislative laundry list of provisions in this and almost every other Bill.

What we need in Congress is a Rule, in either house will do, preventing that house from considering any legislation that applies to two or more Titles of federal law. That will end this nonsense once & for all, as long as the Rule remains in effect.

Then we'd begin to see single issue legislation, such as a much-needed "Toxic Substances Act" that would ban the interstate transportation & sale of 1) all products containing mercury intended for implantation, insertion or application into or onto the human body; 2) all GMO produce or extracts intended for human, pet, or livestock consumption; etc. etc.

What is happening here is that Congress has added this issue to a bill they know Bush will Veto. This way they can be seen to vote for removal of the Thimerosal while blaming Bush for allowing it to continue. If Congress truly wanted to ban the addtive, they would make it a separate bill or add it to a sure-bet presidential approval such as funding for the military. This is another way to support the proliferation of Autism and other neurological disorders; one more instance where Congress as a group is supporting their most important contributors - the drug cartel. This is yet another government-sponsored program to ensure our ill-health-care system does not run out of chronically-ill subjects.

In the late '80's China ran the largest double-blind study on Thimerosal in child vaccines by starting to innoculate their children with these "wonderful" drugs from the USA. The caregivers and recipients had no idea what was being injected into them, hence double-blind. Before this program began, only one case in a population of nearly 1 billion people was autistic. Less than 5 years later, 1.8 million children were autistic. What a coincidence.

This issue is far greater than the war in Iraq, but where is our press coverage? Why aren't our Pulitzer-prize-winning journalists researching this subject and making front page headlines? Instead, our TV journalist parade forward their MD-educated quacks who "innocently" claim that we do not know what causes autism. They spout their drivel and consider that the issue has been adequately covered. Meanwhile, our unsuspecting parents are dutifully allowing their children to be injected with mercury starting age 1.5 days. Much of the problem would go away if they would wait until the child is 4 or 5 years old to receive their mercury shots. Better yet, they could take the time to make sure that the vaccine being given does not contain Thimerosal. This would likely be the single-dose vials that contain Aluminum.

one of the main issues that I am looking at is this i am about to become a first time father and throughout the years as anyone knows children have been forced to take vaccines before entrance to school. if these vaccines are generating so much harm how can i protect my child from being forced into having to take the required shots. To me it looks like we are being deliberately poisoned by our own government and took advantage of every way possible, the last thing i am going to allow anyone to do is harm my child no matter what. Some people may say home schooling is an option however keep this fact in mind i work usually 60-70 hours a week to support my family..Thank you for allowing me to comment and i welcome any solid advice..

If this was just a bill to ban thimerosal. It wouldn't be vetoed. Unfortunately it gets slipped within a bill with a whole lot of pork which would be foolish to approve. What happens then is that the claims go out like Bush for mercury in vaccines or congressman Jones approves of starving children, of Senator Smith in favor of kids smoking. Typical Washington doublespeak and both parties do it. Don't fall for the headlines or spin. Get your congessman to sponsor a bill banning thimerosal alone and not part of a bloated spending plan and see what happens then.

We hear that the practicing Dr.'s can not do this on their own. The solution is simple - Drs.do not buy the vaccine with the Mercury in it and listen to your association. Stand up for your patients for a change. Our country is capitalistic, Some one will make the vaccine without it, and then sell a lot of it if the Drs. who choose to stand their ground. Also, while I do not always agree with President Bush, we should see what riders are attached to this bill to see why he is really bent on the veto. As was pointed out, he too will be a grandfather and probably have an "unexplained" autistic member of his family. Let us get out the truth and see what "Medicine" is really doing. I think everyone needs to "wake up" when it comes to what is happening in our country. Does this article really surprise you? We need to take responsibility for ourselves. Period. If you think ANY president/government official/state officials etc are going to really be on the side of protecting us your living in a fantasy world. We will and are already over run by "Pharmika". The world is killing themselves through lack of knowledge and not taking responsibility. We all want a quick fix and put our trust in man not God. We have done it to ourselves. We can point our fingers at the president, blame him. Does that make it better? Does it make you feel better to put the blame on someone else? TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

Also, the term "Christian" has been so misused it matters not who says they are a Christian. The Bible tells us we will know them by their fruits. I rarely tell people I am a Christian. It is too embarrasing because of all the people who have trashed the meaning.I make it clear I am a believer in the Bible and Jesus Christ and hope through my actions they can see the truth.

For the "Christians" who are bashing the president, shame on you. The Bible makes it very clear what we are to do as Christians for our leaders.

Have any of you really liked any of the choices for presidency? The choices are not very appealing. We have to do all we can through prayer. Even when it comes to our health care crisis, the government etc. PRAY!

We also need to remember that knowledge is power! Get informed and be responsible for what you know.

This is just scary. Not only are we going to bash Bush for allegedly being PREPARED to veto a bill that will remove mercury, but we are doing it without any real evidence provided at all. Just the mention of his name is enough for people to send him to the pit of hell. How unreasonable is that. Sure, I disagree with some of his policies, but after RESEARCH, not a cutting article with no information or references. First, what is the bill number that his is set to veto? I didn't find it in the article, which is mostly just a personal blog, not article, in my opinion. I didn't see it in Dr. Ms additional info - which was good, but not informative either, just a rehash of what we know from previous articles.

So, where is the text of the bill so we can read and and see if there is good reason to veto, like the usual added political garbage that would render the bill useless or more dangerous in another aspect. Why are we attacking the President so vehemently when we haven't even seen reference to the bill, reasoning, or any other info? I'm not ready to crucify until I have proof that a bill even exists. I'm not so into the hate and blame game that a negative blog about Bush is going to add to my arsenal.

Anyone know the bill number??????

I've never posted a comment on Mercola before, but after reading all of your thoughts I could be silent no longer! You all have proven yourselves to be uneducated, misinformed, and just downright gullible when it comes to politics and the way things work in this country. First of all, don't believe every word that comes out of the mouth of Dr. Mercola. He is falible just as you and I. Second, just because President Bush is going to veto this bill does not make him evil. Nobody HAS to get a flu shot. Also, you never know what stipulations are attached to this bill or what other agendas have been piggy-backed onto the bill - these are more likely the reasons for the veto. Finally, for those of you who claim to be Christians, I would ask that you stop bashing our president and start praying for him. I doubt that any of us can imagine the stress that he is under on a daily basis. He is doing what he thinks is best and the war, however chaotic it has become, started on 9/11. Remember that day? Maybe you all think we should just "talk" to the terrorists and try to come up with some sort of a peace treaty. This is not how to communicate with killers. God is kind, loving, and good, but He is also just. Look in the Bible. He did not hesitate to destroy those who set themselves up against Him. Bush is not anti-Christian for being at war. He is trying to protect all of us!!

As a Canadian, listening to my American bretheren breaks my heart. You've been 'bush whacked' twice. And he's still in office (a nasty lame duck) with more power than most presidents have ever had. Your system of checks and balances has been turned up side down (right before your very eyes!) and will require a mamoth infusion of love and compassion to correct. Deal with it... Support impeachment of cheney and bush, or suck it up.

We've got Harper up here and it ain't easy. But (in addition to bush) you've got REAL big problems (eg: a brewing sub-prime mortgage fiasco, etc). Your 'leaders' all look like and sound like deer caught in the headlights, while CNN rocks you all to sleep in front of your TV sets. Wake up folks and save your country.

We as parents decided the day before our daughters 6 week check-up not to vaccinate her. We were informed she at 6 weeks old would be injected with 6 different vaccines. I couldn't let them put that poison in my child. That was ten years ago and now we have 3 beautiful healthy unvaccinated children. We had to find another doctor because their practice refused to see unvaccinated children. We were told if you don't vaccinate your children they can't attend school. That was a lie. Our children have attended both public and private schools. We need to educate parents about their rights against vaccinating their children. All 50 states accept exemptions for vaccinations in order to attend school. There are 3 such exemptions-medical, religous and philosophical exemptions. We excersise our religous exemption. So many parents I have talked to about this poison have said to me "If we only knew we wouldn't have done it". We need to teach and embrace parents. As far a Bush and the other candidates for president, I don't trust any of them! We have to educate ourselves and others and be proactive in our health care choices.

First of all, Christianity isn't the focus of this forum about thimerisol; it's about what right does the President have to veto such a thing and what can we do about this. Secondly, Christians have been killing people for years in the name of Christianity. Shall I give you a history lesson. It's Christianity's dirty little secret...How about the Salem witch trials? Anyway, like I said this is not a forum about Christianity, so keep it in check please..some of you are sounding a little judgemental. Double-blind testing in the sixties established my (then) young son and I, are "toxic/allergic to fluorine-bearing compounds (fluorides)."

Over 50% of drug medicine has a fluoride base, especially antibiotics, HRT and psychotrophic drugs. The fluorine halogen unites with all known elements, except four (Su, Se, Te and graphite)---making difficult our desire to avoid this ubiquitous element. Independent document research as well as trial and error experiences enabled us to regain our health. Where total avoidance is impossible, we've learned mitigating fluorine/fluorides' adverse influence is possible but only with bio-dynamic unadulterated, minimally-processed nutrition (remember, cooking is a "process"), principle amongst which is real ("raw"), unpasteurized (uncooked) whole milk from pastured/hay-fed dairy animals.

All fluorine compounds (fluorides) are toxic (poisonous); there are just some that are less toxic than others, eg. calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) which, when provided a choice, "F" will readily combine with (to form calcium-fluoride, magnesium-fluoride, i.e. "fluoride")---which is the Creator's way of buffering one's biochemistry from the caustic, toxic effects of this bioaccumulative protoplasmic poison which is, primarily, a vital enzyme toxin, capable of altering cellular structure and function (which leads to vital organ dysfunction including brain, CNS and the entire immune system (AIDS?!)
