Manuka wound dressings have already been used for several years in Great Britain, Australia, and its native New Zealand.
I took my soon to the emergency room today. I feel he came very close to dying. I gave him and his sister a reccomended amount of royal jelly. It didn't taste good to them, and I reccommend taking it with honey or buying a royal jelly product which comes dilulted in honey.

He had a reaction withing 20 minutes of ingestion, incredible chest pain, and shortness of breath. He was quite scared and so was I. The respiratory difficulties got worse by the minute and we rushed to the emergency room. Symptoms grew worse on the ride to the hospital up until anti inflammatory and bronchial dialating druges were administered. . We were fortunate to get medical treatment within 20 minutes from the time the symptoms began. It was definetly a life and death situation, further delays might have been fatal or caused irreparable harm.

I am still a believer in the product and will give it to my other child, but beware and take bee products in tiny doses when trying them or giving them to kids. I looked up more info on what had occurred, and it seems to be Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is an acute systemic (multi-system) and severe Type I Hypersensitivity allergic reaction in humans and other mammals. The term comes from the Greek words a?a ana (against) and f??a??? phylaxis (protection).[1] Minute amounts of allergens may cause a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction. Anaphylaxis may occur after ingestion, skin contact, injection of an allergen or, in rare cases, inhalation.[2]

Thanks to my son's adverse experience which caused me to return to my ancestral roots (barks and herbs) in natural medicine, he and the rest of my immediate family not only regained but continue to maintain a level of health unequalled among our chronological peers---as long as we avoid drug base medicine. "Food is your best medicine;" the problem now is that what passes for food generally isn't.

By the way, the chemical compound that, now, is in (literally) in everything including more than 50% of all drug meds) which nearly killed my son (which double-blind testing later established we were "toxic/allergic" to, is fluoride.

A week ago I could feel that I was coming down with the flu however I have been able to fight it off by drinking lots of Manuka tea. We have Manuka trees growing on our farm and I made this tea from leaves picked freshly off a Manuka tree.

I could see how they could force feed a goose for that fancy French delicacy (pate du fois gras), but a be? Aren't their mouths pretty tiny? And wouldn't it take a lot of people to force feed that many bees? Not to mention how delicate the bugs are and how their legs fall off. You couldn't exactly nail their feet to a board or anything.

The Manuka Honey is just stunning as a wound dressing. My kids call it "magic honey" (I have four kids, so nearly daily cuts and scrapes). I've used the honey watered-down a little, with a bit of sea salt, to cure sinus infections. Just lay on the bed with my head hanging off and dump it in...

The Manuka tea tree oil (not the honey) is also a stunningly effective antimicrobial used topically. I add 30 or so ML to a bottle of shampoo for total control of Sebhorrheic Dermatitis, and the oil wipes out nail fungus with just a few applications. I just LOVE this stuff!

About a year ago - I cut the outside of my hand deeply with a sharp knife. I am certain that most doctors would have considered stitches necessary for the wound to close and heal properly. However - no insurance at the time - and little extra money in the budget for ER. About two days after the injury - my wound was gaping open and was hurting badly. I was afraid that I had made a bad decision to not get stitches. I went to our local raw milk farmer and just happened to show him my injury. He recommended that I use their raw honey (harvested from a local bee farmer) on the wound topically. I did and within one day my wound sealed together and stopped hurting altogether. Guess what - no scar either. I thought it was a miracle! Thank God for our land flowing with RAW Milk and RAW Honey!

You can get UMF +10 or +30 or whatever Manuka, which to me is ludicrous, and seems to be a way of charging huge amounts of money for something that shouldn't be adulterated and changed. Manuka (and it's cousin Kanuka) - or New Zealand Tea-trees - will be organic anyway as is everything from NZ. Certainly no GM materials involved. The tree is so common it's almost a weed!!

Manuka has been used by the tangata whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand for centuries and its health benefits are no big secret in NZ. Why? Because it's tasty, and it works. It was always my one-stop instant cure for colds and sniffles and sores from my Mum or Grandma as a child. But I refuse to spend 15 GBP for one tiny jar of the stuff when I could get a kilo from the apiary down the road for $5 back home!!
