Despite that is does contain some practical sensible organizational tips(*) , I consider Feng shui hogwash religion. (*)all false deceptions contain some truths

Note how many "dont's" are contained in the philosophy. And note some of it hignes on not offending certain invisible things. And the part of feng shui about where to face and not face a building (probably so as not to offend the demonic) is bogus .

Btw, Russ and others, what's the rationale behind EFT? Lots of things work because people believe in them, but I want to have at least some idea HOW it works, even if the theory is 'alternative' science.

Unfortunately its feng shui is sadly out of balance. Clutter, clutter everywhere. I've contracted with my bookkeeper to help me get it in some kind of order so she can do her job better. Perhaps I'll have an opportunity to share an update on how some of these feng shui tips work in a couple of months! Its amazing how draining chaos can be...

re: 50 Practical Home Office Feng Shui Tips

Tip 42 is great but cleaning off your desk is really just the tip of an iceberg - a messy desk is a symptom of something else and getting to the cause is key. I recommend David Allen's book, Getting Things Done. The GTD method will help busy entrepreneurs get to the heart of the matter and learn how to process the high volume of items that come their way. I like to think of the GTD process as inner Feng Shui.

re: 50 Practical Home Office Feng Shui Tips

Most of these suggestions are indeed pratical, simple, and rational, a nice list.

re: 50 Practical Home Office Feng Shui Tips

Who compiled this list - Ikea?

Actually, most of it is common sense. A clean, tranquil, organized setting is bound to make you more productive. But calling it feng shui gives it a mystical spin that made me want to skip over it. I'm a rationalist, not a mystic; I dismiss the paranormal and the supernatural. But I am certainly open to logical suggestions like these.

re: 50 Practical Home Office Feng Shui Tips

Some of these tips can be used for the work office space as well. My brother works from his home and actually spends more time working than when he went into the office. It almost cost him his marriage.
