But is it really? This AOL survey of some popular restaurant salads may make you think twice about what you order.
fermented beans like miso and tempeh use fungal spores. they (& garlic) are made up of negative microvita - the underlying metaphysical cause of all diseases (do lookup "microvita superdiet").

olive oil - may imbalance omega 3: omega 6 ratios - as another brother pointed out.

And those adding nuts, don't forget to soak them for atleast 12 hrs :)

The best way I find to get my fruits and vegetables, which I eat raw, is to make a smoothie: with Organic spinach, or mix greens, Whole fruit

(no juices), that can be mango, banana, Fresh pineapple, Kiwi fruit, or any thing that is whole and fresh, (also organic if you can afford it).

And to give my smoothie a great flavor I like to add 4 oz. of frozen Raspberries, or Mixed berries, blue berries or the like. I also add a large

free range Egg (raw) to this along with Bee pollen, and one cup of Purified Water. Other vegetables I like to add are raw tomatoes, celery, cucumber Kale, Broccoli Florets, or Cauliflower. The combinations are endless.

I do not add any sugar to this or any dairy products. I usually have two smoothies a day so this makes sure I am getting my greens, and added protein with two Free Range Eggs. You can also add flax seeds, sunflower seeds, Hemp Seeds, as well. Also Olive oil, Hemp oil, or Flax oil if

you use it.

What I like about doing this at home is, I know exactly what I am eating. No sugars, additives, or empty fillers. It is all raw pure food the freshest that I can buy, and most of that is organic.

The result of eating this way is excellent health and no illnesses. I also have the fun of growing some of this food myself, especially during the summer months.

The other important thing for me is making sure my water is not only purified but pH corrected to pH 7.4 – 7.6. The bodies natural pH level is

pH 7.365. It is very important to keep your body in the alkaline range (Ph 7.2 – pH 7.6). Use Litmus Tape to check your urine & saliva.

The only cooked food I eat is a cup a day of 8 bean organic soup that I make myself. Just beans and natural spices, and boy is it good. I don't even heat it up, I really enjoy it cold. I cook a large pot once a week and just keep it in the fridge. Be sure to soak the beans over night and rinse before cooking on a low heat for about three hours. Hmm, Good stuff.

Cheers,

Carl

Even a home made salad takes special precautions, if not organically grown, plant foods are less than ideal, sadly! But you are safer than if you let that rascally farmer, Old McDonald do you in slowly.

I also find that macadamia butter is a good salad bressing, in that it is a bit runny, and has a good taste, so it improves the taste of other salad ingredients.

I avoid the use of tomatoes in salad, as well as potato salad, green peppers, and bell peppers due to the problems that can result from eating too much of vegetables in the nightshade family.

I have also found that mixing in alfalfa sprouts and mung bean sprouts can perk up salad without adding too much bulk to it.

I have found that salads with walnuts, pine nuts, and pecans cuts my craving for meat in salad, and I occasionally will slice in a boiled egg, which if cut thin enough, can provide a lot of slices fro the salads.

Since I made a major change from eating out constantly to eating raw fruits, other foods, and fresh salads I have not lost the much weight, but my mood has improved drastically, and my hair, skin, and eyes have cleared, and I no longer am plagued with middle age acne. I also have less gastrointestinal distress, and fewer sweet cravings.

I occasionally have a grain craving, and find that Scottish steel cut oats cooked in my slow cooker, and mixed with dried fruit and raisins, can make a solid meal, and kills my urge to eat bread. I do occasionally eat bread, and try to eat fresh bread from a local deli in the form of a french baggette with cream cheese and avocado.

It's because of the ingredients. This same salad made at my house would be less than half those calories.

I went to the UNO website (which I was looking at just yesterday on my own) and these are the ingredients to this "salad"

Pizzeria Uno’s Chicken Waldorf Salad

INGREDIENTS: Chicken breast (water, seasoning (salt, dextrose, maltodextrin, yeast extract, flavoring, cooked chicken, chicken fat, lactic acid) salt, sodium phosphates, seasoning (hydrolyzed corn gluten, autolyzed yeast extract, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, and soy oils and dextrose), Lettuce, Granny Smith Apples, Carrots, Blue Cheese dressing soybean oil, vinegar, blue cheese, egg yolk, corn syrup, yogurt solids, stabilizers, spices, soy protein, polysorbate 60, garlic, onion, dextrose, alginate), Gorgonzola, Cranberries, swtnd, dried, Craisins, walnuts glazed (walnuts, honey, sucrose, wheat starch, maltodextrin, xantham gum, soy or peanut oil, salt, sugar), Salad, Field Greens, shredded Lettuce, Red Cabbage.

Look at all the hidden MSG (yeast extract, flavoring, autolyzed yeast extract, spices), Trans Fat, and sugar (maltodextrin, sucrose, dextrose, corn syrup). This is why this salad is NOT healthy. Not because of its calorie or fat content but because of its ingredients! We need to get some better journalists out there. wow...

This salad after seeing the ingredients is quite disgusting. No wonder people can't figure out how to lose weight!

Anybody doubting soy, must check the work of Enig at the Westin Price Foundation. Strangeley enough, we now have infant soy formulas from corporations such Nestle, the worlds largest food company. I have yet to find just one product, amongst their multitude of products, that i would allow to pass between my lips. Shame on those profit mongering marketers and ignorant Swiss food scientists. It was thecorrupt Swiss Government that gagged the scientist who was going to publish the horendous effects of mcrowave ovens. Isnt it amazing, that in an age when it has been shown that calories dont count, and that sat fat is good for you, that such as this stupid articles still appear in the mainstreeam press..

The restraunts serve because many say this is what they want. Because of lack of information they do not know what to eat to be healthy, until they are in some physical ailment.

Well, even tho I carry a cooler with me and stock many of my own store bought items, I do eat out often. Often try to stay at places with a kitchnette.

For salads. I always leave the dressing or ask for extra virgin olive oil/vinegar on the side. Or give me a tab of cottage cheese on top. I eat half of the salad and take the rest out for the next meal. I preferr to find salad buffets and then I can pick and choose my tastes and calorie intake. Of course this often leaves one paying alot for a little. Some buffets allow you to carry out. In that case I do and plan it for 2-3 meals with my choice of vegetables and greens.

Eating out leaves one to often leave half the meal or doggy it out the door. Of course when one eats small meals thru out the day and eats only one big meal a day. Well, eating out is not conclusive to a small meal and one needs to plan this for their bigger meal.

When one wants to eat healthy they can on the road.
