My dad was overwhelmed with candida and could hardly get out of bed in the morning (he is a small farmer) and now keeps it at bay with daily supplements and raw-milk kiefer he makes at the house.

I take about 400 mcg a day, but think I will bring it down to 200. I myself had toenail fungus and horrible digestion and those things have improved greatly. My energy has improved too. I have my dad's genes ;)

Minerals and trace minerals are very important, as we are discovering. I also take Boron for radiation defense, Iodine (my thyroid is normal) and Magnesium for muscle and bones. And no, we didn't decide to just start taking these ourselves! Dr. Rich Olree out of MI is friends with my dad and has researched extensively and written books about minerals and trace minerals. The form of mineral (i.e. selenomethionine) that you take is very very important.
