I am a registered practitioner of acupressure, which some enlightened doctors are beginning to realize is often an effective treatment in cases of chronic pain. Like EFT, acupressure re-aligns the Qi flows of the body to un-dam the blockages that can lead to pain. We do not "tap" the acu-points, we hold them until the energy blockage releases, using "local" and "distal" points to encourage energy flow. I have seen a ten minute acupressure treatment replace the use of morphine for hours in the cancer ward of a local hospital. If your readers suffer from chronic pain, have them try acupuncture or acupressure for relief without drugs.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2001 & at that time if a Dr. tried to prescribe anything narcotic I called him a quack & walked out of his office. In 2004 the thing that I live for is the same reason I often wish I was dead. The birth of my daughter. She is my reason to breathe. On the other hand due to refused unneeded medical intervention during her birth I now have PTSD. Had I been a POW during her birth the DR. would have been guilty of committing war crimes including genital mutilation. As I type the tears are running down my face. I have PTSD. I was able to deal with pain differently prior to her birth. After the torture I endured not only do I have more physical problems that were caused by the Dr. but the psychological damage is deeper then anything I could ever imagine. I respectfully disagree with your opinion of fentynol patches. They were the only thing that I got true relief with. I am allergic to ahesive & taped over them for fear that a patch would fall of & my daughter would touch it. The rashes became to severe to continue with the treatment. I know take 60mg of Opana extended twice a day and another 60-80mg of short acting throughout the day just to get my pain level down to the point where I can get out of bed. The patches were a miracle for me. I was able to function like a normal person. My PM Dr. has not been able to find anything that would equal the patches. I saw my psychiatrist when my daughter was 5 days old & have been seeing him for 8 years. I told him he needed to commit me because the OB/GYN's office said my pain wasn't real & that it was postpartum depression. I told him if my depression was that bad that I was imagining the fact that I couldn't walk up the stairs I needed serious psychiatric help. After listening to me while I cried for over an hour he asked me what medication I was taking in the hospital. Appauled in what I was sent home with he wrote me an RX for percocet which is the only reason I made it.

I seem to remember something about Sheep Sorrell (only a certain variety) that you cook down in stainless steel crocks for a type of pain relief for cancer patients. It's name eludes me but it's been used by a cousin of mine for her father who was dying of cancer and DID give relief. I don't know if it was ever touted as a cure. Anyone know the name?

I have had intermittent chronic pain since a fall down 26 steps 19 years ago. The first few years I tried everything the Drs gave me but my body did not like these pain meds. The meds also didn't affect my pain at all so I gave up. I used ice packs and then later Transcendental Meditation. TM helped me accept and live with the pain but I was pretty useless and had no quality of life.

Several years ago I received a newsletter from Dr. Donsbach, who has a cancer clinic in Mexico. He asked his readers to try a combination that he developed to help ease his cancer patients off the heavy duty meds. His curcurmin remedy has been a lifesaver. RE-LEV-IT will take care of a toothache or migraine and has made my pain much more livable, plus it is good for me with no side-effects.

My father "died" of hemorrhagic stroke 10 days after the event. When he was no longer conscious, and indeed, dying, his doctors prescribed more and more morphine. I say thank god for the opiates. They helped him out of this world.

Cancer pain according to Hulda Clark PhD, ND is caused by bacteria. Go get her books, and not only get rid of the pain, but get rid of the cancer. A Cure For All Cancers, and others...

I worked with hospice patients for many years. Their pain cannot be described. At this stage in life, interventions are too late. You HAVE to control the pain. Morphine can kill, oxycontin can kill, any of the narcotics can. Fentanyl is actually used in anesthesia due to it's potency, therefore, it's potential to kill is even higher. The nurse has to weigh the risk of adverse reactions, yes even death, against allowing the patient to continue in unimaginable agony. I AM NOT advocating euthanasia, please don't think I am. I'm just saying it's a very fine line between pain control and respiratory depression and we are human. Pain is poorly understood and today their are no easy answers. I also have to wonder, how many of these deaths were suicide or euthanasia by family? I've seen it happen.

CNN reported last night that there are "THOUSANDS" of UNAPPROVED drugs currently in tens of thousands of pharmacies everywhere in the USA, with 10 digit FDA serial issue numbers, and "no studies or oversight whatsoever ever having been done on these drugs, yet in daily use, by the population"!!!

When the woman at FDA in charge of this process of drug number issuance was asked about it, she (being well schooled by lawyers) said "We are aware of the issue."

Translation from the Fraud Deceit Always employee: "We intend to do nothing about it and allow the headlines to blow over."

Remember folks, such an overt lack of regulation, in these cases allows Big Pharma to LITERALLY GET AWAY WITH MASS MURDER FOR PROFIT.
