&lt;p&gt;I too struggle. &amp;nbsp;It was terrible growing up as we had a terrible diet. &amp;nbsp;I stated getting much better but now I&amp;#39;ve not been eating well and need to drink lots more water. &amp;nbsp;My problem is not just constipation, but gas. &amp;nbsp;And sometimes I don&amp;#39;t even eat gassy foods, so I don&amp;#39;t know what causes it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve been constipated recently and this causes me to get migraines. &amp;nbsp;It&amp;#39;s terrible. &amp;nbsp;So I bought some apples and that&amp;#39;s been helping, but not enough. &amp;nbsp;Need to get back to a stricter diet and start eating more salads again.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, I&amp;#39;m becoming to believe that Dr. Mercola&amp;#39;s probiotics are a waste of money. &amp;nbsp;I had food poisoning and intestinal destress and took those all day long and they didn&amp;#39;t help. &amp;nbsp;When I went to bed, my stomach still hurt. &amp;nbsp;What a waste of money.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have NO Thyroid and am on daily meds for that, and another med for my Mitral Valve Prolapse.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;These meds seem to slow my system down. Before starting on Probiotics and Flax, &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I could &amp;#39;hear&amp;#39; the locomotive engine but alas it had many stops before it got to my &amp;#39;station&amp;#39;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is little worse than feeling that awful bloating and not being able to do anything about it!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I thank my own doctor and the wisdom of Dr. Mercola to get me (and the train!) on the right track!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve also added Turmeric daily in capsule form, it helps the bloating tremendously and has made my train stops much easier!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s not possible for anything to be more effective. It turns the contents of your bowels to water.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Very simple, NO side effects, oxygen reacts with contents to create liquid. For someone that&amp;#39;s over 200lbs, at least 10-12 pills are needed for Niagara Falls effect 7 hours after taking pills. Just sit until you&amp;#39;re done. Eat soup for a day or two so it&amp;#39;s not working on food just taken in. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Colon cleansing should not be done regularly. This is just initial clean up.&lt;/p&gt;

There is also the secretion of the hormone CCK that occurs when we chew that tells us when our hunger is satisfied....i have been practicing chewing each mouthful 40+ times and have noticed a big difference. i no longer feel bloated after eating, am satisfied after eating smaller amounts, and have at least one, sometimes 2-3 healthy bowel movements everyday! &lt;/p&gt;

Everyone here has some really great remedies that work for them, and bless you for sharing! Some of the things I have read here, I have also tried and been disappointed with. Some others have worked. I think it is important to figure out exactly what is the root cause of YOUR irregularity problem. This is easier said than done since you will get exactly zero help from an M.D. A good portion of them can&amp;#39;t correctly diagnose what they can see, let alone what they can&amp;#39;t, and much less do they care. &amp;nbsp;If you have a problem with constipation, don&amp;#39;t give up! &amp;nbsp;Keep trying! (hehe) I accidentally found that bananas work for me although I have no idea why. They don&amp;#39;t seem to have that effect on anyone else I know. Perhaps I have a food sensitivity to bananas. &lt;/p&gt;

There is only one problem. &amp;nbsp;After using fish oil for just a week, she started itching like mad and it turns out she has allergic reactions to fish oil/seafood. &amp;nbsp;The brand we use is Renew for Life, and we have used Carlsons and Spectrum. All excellent brands. Is there any other oils she can use that would be just as helpful? I am not familiar enough with Krill Oil to know if she could take that and not get any itchy side effects. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks!&lt;/p&gt;
