No one wants to be served depression on a platter but instead they want freedom from the struggle. "I can" is something I heard you should repeat to yourself every day when you struggle with depression. Now I wonder how the words "I can" can make a difference in one who is chemically deprived or chemically polluted? In other words, so depressed they need medication to be optimistic and to level out their chemical levels to acquire a more balanced level. If the balance is off, how effective is "I can"? I'm not arguing the point, I'm simply asking the question. :)

I believe he knows the law of attraction.

One of my friends on a social network I belong to was blogging about his health...

He is 77 years young and feels great because that is his intention. When a bit under the weather, he will say to himself... I APPEAR to be unwell instead of "I am sick" and that makes all the difference in his recovery. Your thoughts and the words you use effect everything, including your health.

The below argument implies that anyhting that is asked of us is automatically reasonable within all possibilites.

Life doesn't work this black and white.

Do you realize how many "self-help" authors are pedalling these same kind of easy answers? "Are you living through FEAR of LOVE?" "Are you a 'Human being', or a 'human DOING?" (Insert rabbid audience applause). Turning your back on the modern doctrine of psychology is one step, burning every self help book you come in contact with is the next. Next time life tries to teach you something, you damn sure need to pay attention.. it has nothing to do with semantics, and if you think it does... it'll keep trying to teach you the same lessons over and over being ignored as you hop from one self help article to the next.

I think that still holds true, maybe a bigger word than "can't" but certainly for myself, "can't" often represents fear I have not dealt with. I know that the more I face fears and work them through, the more CAN happens in my life - for me, that requires partnership with my higher power - best antidote to fear I know.

Fear is the enemy. CAN overcomes fear.

For instance there are certain circumstances where one "can't" do a certain thing, Viz, if I am playing chess and I have lost my queen and all my pieces and my oponent has all of his on the board, I "can't win" this is of course is an extreme example but my point is you can't always fix everything, some events leave residual effects. You go bad in business and as a result you go bankrupt you "CAN'T" start another business until after a period of time etc. I "can't" does always translate to I "won't". I prefer the more resonable approach to replace "I can't" with "I can" which also sets up a change in one's thinking pattern and opens up possibilities, but here again one must exercise a degree of rational thinking about what is possible and what can be done Viz, I may not be able to start another business just now, but I "can" do something that will prepare the groundwork for one in the future. To say I won't start a business is just plain nonsense. I've seen all these Tony Robbins evangelistic type positive thinking gurus make ridiculous statements, all the testimonies come from people who were either already successful or had the infrastructure to achieve outcomes simply by showing a bit courage and applying themselves in an unremarkable way. Psyching one'self up is fine but when it's anchored in the absurd notion that you can achieve absolutely anything regardless of your circumstances it just becomes a dangerous form of self deception. My advice is to carefully measure what resources one has at one's disposal and identify an achievable goal and say "I can".

God, The Universe or whatever it is that returns to us our Karma is totally loving and positive and unable to understand the word "NO". So, we get the things we "didn't" want, we do the things we said we would "never" or "NOT ever" do and this causes us stress?

Stress lowers my immune system and is the cause of ALL my stress, pain, diseases, illnesses and eventual death. So, if I aoid using negative words and say what I mean, rather than what I "don't" mean, then I will become happpier, healthier and live?

The negative words that I Know of are, " not, never, neither, nor, no one, nothing, none, any word beginning with "non" such as "non-physical", or any word ending in "n't", such as can't, won't, wouldn't,. Try writing without using any of these words and you may find it more time consuming because you will have to Think, before you can write. Then try speaking and then Thinking without using any of these words and see what happens.

For more information on this and other negative and positive behaviours see, www.ameril.net.

Wishing you all a Universe full of love and happiness.
