In real world, we are witnessing the come back into “Dark Ages”. The new Religion, which has been expanded through out North American, is called “CORPORATISM” and the new God is called “PROFIT”

The Quick Profit decides what is wrong and what is right. The Quick Profit decides what is legal and what is illegal. The Quick Profit decides the trends in medical sciences, and energy sector.

Corporatism has under control the entire propaganda machinery and is trying holding all people under ignorance. We don’t have more democracy in this Country, because we don’t have any freedom of information. We have here some group of dictators, who manipulate flow of information. We don’t have any free choice of information. We have been brain washed since a childhood.

I guess our town is not very hip. Instead of installing advanced computer labs in the elementary school, we've put in an organic garden. Although Caltrans (state highway agency) wants to put a 4-lane freeway through the valley, there is a local project to make the town more walkable. In spite of the plethora of fast foods available, a native elder recently taught a class on preparing and cooking acorns, a traditional food for this area. Technology is big here, though, with more people than ever showing an interest in and installing solar panels, including the new hospital that is being built.

If technology doesn't produce tools to help us fulfill our human potential, it is simply toxic to life. The use of technology without heart is dangerous. The objectives and goals should be established, then the questions asked: "Will this or that technological advance help or hinder? What have we learned about past scientific advances that have proven to be useless or destructive? What are the motives of the company[ies] developing these new technologies? Is this something that will benefit everyone or just a wealthy & privileged few at the expense of the rest of us, including the environment?"

Who ever made this "Shift" Video apparently watches too much porn on the web. the use of white letters on black backgrounds is bad enough add to that other colored text on black ground, all strangely obtuse. I see this technique as an expression of a cutesy-different-than-thouness. In actual fact, these kinds of people are upside down thinkers. they walk around with their heads firmly up their nether regions. I stopped watching part way through.

Our way of trying to reach to the heavens and know all there is to know? Unfortunately, there is much more information out there now that is WRONG, misguided and misleading, along with all the good.

We 're going beyond our ability to even take all of this in. There is way too much information out there and not enough time to take it in. When will we be satisfied with finally having "enough?" How much faster does your computer really have to go? How much more will we try to squeeze in a day? How much higher will our stress levels rise? I guess I'm just old fashioned. Every day there is a new technology out there that is supposedly necessary, but I lived 22 years without it, so why is it all of the sudden necessary now? It's like when some people say, "I couldn't live without my iPhone." You just got it! You lived fine before without it. We are addicted to speed and consumption. Let's not forget efficiency. We speed around so much we forget to come back to the moment. And it's killing us slowly.

Those of us who were around when sliderules were the rule and computers were 'Univac' and the only things in outer space were the moon, sun and stars do see firsthand the exponentiality of life. Facinating, the world is growing and so is technology. I think this video needs to direct it focus on the growing number of stray cats in american communities. They invite themselves into your garage and when you adopt them all they do is purr and pee all over the place. GROWL !!

I think videos can add an interesting dimension to information gathering when the "seeing" side of a presentation is important, but with more and more videos coming from every direction and fewer and fewer written words, it now take me MUCH more time to decide whether I even want to take the bother gathering new information.

I can skim text very quickly to see if I want to pursue it, but you can't skim a video. You become captive to its presentation, its pace. This one starts out very slowly and I gave up on it after just 30 seconds because the question, "Did you know?" was far from riveting. Maybe there's something interesting in it. I don't know. There are just so many other things I want to do before the day is out other than wait to see whether a video is going to enhance my life enough to spend my time with it. Does this make sense to anyone else here? Am I the only one who values my time and who likes to find the best ways to use it? I doubt it.

I don't think this video-for-text substitution is a good idea here in Mercola.com or any place else for that matter. Yes, its probably easier to put up a video than text, but I don't think it's such a great idea.

In comparing the number of college graduates for each country they neglected to mention the cost of a degree - which in the US has doubled in the last decade. I'll bet education is a lot cheaper in India and China
I read an article yesterday saying that high-priced student loans are going to haunt the US economy for years. They're calling it a new form of indenture.
Personally I don't believe our government wants an educate populace.
