Well just wanted to post my results with LDN. I've had psoriasis for 2 1/2 years and havent been able to find anything to clear it up. Curcumin does help keep it in check but in no way does it cause remission. I ordered LDN from international anti aging systems 2 weeks ago and noticed improvement by day 4 ! It has been noticibly better almost daily and at day 15 at least half of the affected area is totaly clear with the remaining area improving. I have tried everything in the last 2 years and wanted to share my remarkable experience with others. In my opinion my psoriasis is being caused by Lform bacteria ( see marshall protacall for more info ) as I have tested positive for L form bacteria. I am curious if my immune system is now attacking the l form bacteria. I will retest in a few months. I have had 2 side effects. Slight constipation which is lessening. and some fatigue. I wonder if the fatigue can be from the die off effect if in fact the L form bacteria is being eliminated ? and lastly my doctor has written me a script for the 4.5 mg naltrexone however i cannot find a pharmacy who carries it in that dose has anyone found a pharmacy in the states who carries the 4.5 mg dose ? its 49.99 + 15.00 shipping through IAS

It's really distressing to think that simple treatments, which could easily be verified by establishment medical authorities, are not incorporated into standard treatment protocols.

It's one thing for drug companies to exaggerate claims for their own drugs but quite another to denigrate other drugs for no reason.

On the other hand, if doctors can be proved to have lied to the public about results such as these, certainly life in prison or, if possible by state law, the death penalty should be given.

It would be quite simple for the established medical community to verify published results of this therapy.

If the punishments were very harsh, false claims would be eliminated and verified results would not be doubted by anyone.

All I can say is that I have the opposite problem--too little acidity in my stomach, and I was just diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease. So, I would be careful making such broad generalizations about how "acidity" is the underlying cause of disease. Every single person's body is DIFFERENT, and what works for one person, won't necessarily work for another person.

After reading about this promising supplement or medication I read that nalorphine comes from Morphine. I'm concerned by that. Is it also habit-forming? Moprhine has many drug interaction cautions. Is that also true for nalorphine? I also read another source that Naltrexone- the original discussion topic is not addictive but is a narcotic.

LDN is for celiac....the cancer people are celiac, which makes them low on vitamins. Gluten destroys their intestines. LDN helps heal the intestines and blocks gluten and dairy from stimulating their opioid receptor sites, which then lets the immune system go down.

Disease only thrives in an alkaline state. There is a great deal of false information being touted by so-called experts that is wrong. Early in the last century, prior to the corruption of modern medicine via the organizing of medicine, many brilliant physicians and researchers thoroughly understood the mechanism of disease. Cancer research clearly indicated that cancer as well as all other diseases, was found only in a state of hyperalkalosis. Larger than normal amounts of potassium and sodium were found inside the affected cells. Well the thing is this is where I think Dr. Mercola should have expounded on in the article. Opioid antagonists are in many sources, they inhibit or bind with endorphin receptors. Commonly known are Skullcap, Valarian, St. John's Wort, Oat Straw, etc...

Steel cut Oats is a processing term and are closer to the natural state of the Oat as opposed to Rolled or Instant oats which are heavily depleted in their nutritional make-up due to their processing. Oatstraw tea is another alternative.

Unfortunately it's proving difficult at best to find a source showing chemical make-ups of foods and herbs beyond the known vitamins, minerals, etc. we are familiar with now. It's also important to note that opioid antagonists have several categories and sub categories affecting the receptors and which receptors and affect them in different ways. Wouldn't it be fab to have a book with the drug and the original source(s) it was derived or conceived from, ie: Aspirin, silicates from Willow Bark. I'm sure there must be a good one out there...

What I think is pertinent to this article and autoimmune diseases and cancers is the uprise in their occurrences, showing us that our diets are lacking in nutritional balance. The fact that our bodies need a drug to mimic substances found in or derived from natural sources in order to correct and heal the associated diseases is yet another signpost, or should I say Billboard lit up with neon lights.

It's good to know this drug is there to help the infirmed, but wouldn't prevention with proper eating habits curtail the problem to begin with? Let's get back to the causes... disease is after the damage is done. What can I do to live a healthier life less prone to getting these diseases to begin with? And if ill, what are natural alternatives to heal? That is what I look to a naturopathic doctor for. Use the science to build our knowledge base to get to the root answer in why we are ill and what we need to correct the imbalance.
