Sprry to open a politically incorrect pandora's box I'll call erroneous gender self identification (egsi?) but logic must prevail in science no matter how unfashionable. A lot of pain, expense and even suicides if the victims of gender changing procedures and hedonistic non reproductive lifestyles were rather advised to avoid these chemjcals and then asked if they still feel the same way about under going these mutilations. or pointless lives

Very interesting article. My only comment is that the "Baker's Dozen" of suggestions at the end of the article should be only a dozen as #2 and #8 are the same ("Only use natural cleaning products").

CBC tv network in Canada has been doing some great documentaries lately, and there are a couple this year on plastics - look for 'The Disappearing Male' - most interesting. video.google.com/videoplay and 'Forever Plastic' is the next one on the subject.

Dentures are made from soft plastic which are Phthylates. Just think how long you keep these in your mouth. I had mine changed to hard plastic.

evidence to present to who?,,from square,,,,consider the additives to vaccinnes certified by the fda as safe,,,,these number a hundred items,of which thymeroso(right spelling?) was declared safe,leaving 98 or so others for examination,I presented a 300 page clinical manual of the principles of clinical ecology,and dr crooks "the yeast connection",,,,,may as well have shown this guy the daily astrology report from the la times

with society as litiginous as it is,perhaps an attorney might be inclined to sue, present patients,studies,and other evidence,and maybe secure a multi i billion dollar settlement

Thank you for pointing out that synthetic fragrances contain phthalates and also that people should avoid using synthetic fragrances in general. Also, please keep in mind, it is not simply the primary user who can be adversely affected by these volatile toxins, but everyone within breathing range. And thanks in part to phthalates, the scent (the chemicals) from fragrances can last on the ambient air for hours.

Petrochemically derived flavors and fragrances are added to commonly used personal care products, cleaning and maintenance products, to "environmental enhancement" products, to your food, and to your drugs which in turn are also petrochemically derived. (No wonder my body cannot tolerate drugs.)

When people are allowed, or encouraged even, to use fragrances in the workplace, to their doctors' offices, in schools, the theater, restaurants (WHY? Why spoil another's sumptuous meal with your scent?), they are contributing mightily to indoor and outdoor air pollution. Just because it isn't talked about, isn't thoroughly investigated, doesn't mean it isn't so.

Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants would be a lot healthier if we were not so reliant upon artificial flavors and fragrances, pesticides, etc. If you really want to "green," even the US Dept of the Interior tells you, the product "must not contain petrochemical-derived fragrances."

All it takes is a little research of fine sites like Dr. Mercola's, and you, too, can be living healthier lives by learning to read labels and leave the products bearing the benign sounding words, "fragrance" or "flavor" on the shelf. We can "vote with out pocketbooks" as my mother used to say.

We ALL are stakeholders when it comes to breathing!

Why do we need to add these chemicals?

To make something its not or make it less expensive to deal with, yes?

There are only 112 elements which drive the cycles of life, some of

those elements have many isotopes, sulfur has 146. To imagine these

elements could become less bio available seems reasonable because

it happens every day.

Our 80 year olds are not suffering from what ever could have happened

With millions (no billions) of women taking oral contraceptives over the last 40+ years, it's no wonder our fish and other wildlife are tainted as the chemicals are eliminated from the female body and passed into the environment. The exposure to these external stressors can cause a disruption in the steroidal hormone pathway for men as well as woman.

Luckily there are some ways to restore this pathway through Saliva Testing and simple supplementation with hormones. So I like hearing what may cause us problems - but also I like providing the solution!
