Saturated fats are most definitely not atherogenic, since these fats raise high density lipoprotein(HDL-C) whic is cardio-protective, and confers its health promoting properties by preserving arterial endothelium through several mechanisms, one of which is the inhibition of the oxidation of LDL-cholesterol. HDL cholesterol is also anti-thrombotic and decreases platelet aggregation, reducing further the risk for cardiovascular disease.

The widespread vilification of saturated fats actually has no basis in scientific evidence and is the product of marketing strategies which serve the economic interests of the anti-cholesterol lobby.

"Vitamin K2 may also be required for the safety of vitamin D. The anorexia, lethargy, growth retardation, bone resorption, and soft tissue calcification that animals fed toxic doses of vitamin D exhibit bear a striking resemblance to the symptoms of deficiencies in vitamin K or vitamin K-dependent proteins. Warfarin, which inhibits the recycling of vitamin K, enhances vitamin D toxicity and exerts a similar type of toxicity itself. Similarly, the same compounds that inhibit the toxicity of Warfarin also inhibit the toxicity of vitamin D. I have therefore hypothesized elsewhere that vitamin D toxicity is actually a relative deficiency of vitamin K2. The synergy with which vitamin K2 interacts with vitamins A and D is exactly the type of synergy that Price attributed to Activator X"

.If I understand you correctly, you are saying that coconut oil is bad for you and promotes atherosclerosis, along with other saturated fats?

If so, then I dispute that, as I believe coconut oil to be highly beneficial, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and readily used for energy.

I agree that lipids from healthy animals.... fed on a correct natural diet, are beneficial and indeed, have been our primary source of energy for thousands of years.

Dietary cholesterol contributes very little to our blood levels of cholesterol and the liver is responsible for producing what the body requires to repair any damage, degeneration, etc.

To artificially lower one's cholesterol levels when the body has produced them ....usually for good reason, is unwise to say the least!

Sorting the underlying cause, is working with nature, rather than against.

Of course you can get it from eating the cabbage but not in such a high concentration as when it is in the juiced form. An 8 oz cup from time to time will do wonders. Not only will it help build the bones but it is amazing in its ability to stop bleeding. Unlike anything I have ever seen. Very powerful.
