I take a teaspoonful of this every day for the inflammation in my knees, neck and back.

9 parts turmeric

2 parts black pepper or cayenne

2 parts ginger

coconut oil and/or olive oil

Add enough honey to make a stiff paste

Chase down the teaspoonful with water.

This is also apparently good for allergies, coughs, supports liver and detoxifies, purifies blood, chelates lead, strengthens digestion, great for the cells.

Acts as an antioxidant, anticancer, antibiotic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory

It seems to help me, so give it a try...

“Curcumin is in turmeric, and Asian Indians eat turmeric not curcumin. Indian grocery stores have large bags or containers of turmeric. The most potent (best) smelling comes home with me. Consider no more than 1/2 tsp per day or every other day, because it is being researched in India as method of population control, because it causes sterility in rats. Because I have to fly through Mercola Vital Votes, I don't take time to dig up all the references, but I know I can find this one if you want. I was married to an Asian Indian girl for 17 years, so I have a feel for what a dietary intake might be. Even those who eat it only occasionally (once a week?) got most the benefit in a prospective study.”

You can buy Turmeric for $5.20 per pound here: www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/.../merchant.mvc

I buy and share with neighbors; next time I plan to order 2 #, since it keeps very well in its ziplock bag.

Russell Blaylock MD, in Blaylock Wellness Reports, recommends the use of Curcumin in practically every issue. He recommends taking Curcumin out of the capsules and mixing with oil to enhance absorption; he also suggests adding the antioxidant Quercetin to this. I prefer to get my supplements from whole foods, so I mix Turmeric with oil, and get my Quercetin from red onions, lightly sauteed, 2 or 3 times a week!

One thing I would like to see more of are medical monographs and studies from foreign countries on the efficacy of natural substances such as turmeric. Seems Germany and Sweden have very open medical practitioners, especially when looking at the comparatively closed mind medical thugs running the asylums here.

I have been taking the New Chapter Turmeric liqui-caps for about three years, and it is a staple in my herbal/adaptagen supplementation. Past 50, nothing breaks, avoid doctors. I practice most of your ten tips. Recently, have added in a tremendous amount of tart cherries, in juice, whole, frozen and dried forms. My brutal cycling routines in the summer were giving a trace of arthritic type pain in my hip joints (100+ miles per day, steep climbs), and the cherries seem to have made the problem go away.

I take ginger to aid absorption of reishi, cordyceps and rhodiloa...does it also aid turmeric?
