No, I don't know any farmers who will sell me half a steer that I wouldn't want anyway: I love chicken and fish (esp. salmon), but hate red meat.

I do think meat is a pain to prepare and cook, and wonder about the ethics of consuming it, esp. rare species like the doctor's vaunted bison and ostrich, although I am happy to eat chicken and fish if I should and there's a healthful way to do it. I dramatically lowered my meat intake (to almost none) and the weight loss begun when gave up most carbs continued.

I'm now 140; for most of my adult life I was 190-195, but went up to 210 about 4 years ago, causing me to get serious about nutrition and start dropping weight. I suppose the weight loss was good, but my BMI is barely over the minimum, I'm always hungry, I am always scrambling for something to eat (because everything is toxic), I usually have a general weak feeling, and have no muscle tone and am barely able to lift anything substantial.

So I've eliminated the bad stuff, but what's good, esp. for a protein type? Specifically, something that would constitute a meal?

I've also looked at Gerald Cousens' site, but don't think the vegan thing is for me. It would be great to do, but I'm always so hungry!

Particularly if there is surgery it is critical to take progesterone prior to surgery as the level of progesterone is directly linked to the chance of recurrence after breast cancer surgery and seems to be that progesterone deals to any breakaway cancerous cells. Read John Lee's book Sex Lies and Menopause to understand the importance of progesterone in balancing against estrogen dominance. Cheers

I just wondered about the water as that would seem quite important to me. Wouldn't you want to be using distilled water or reverse osmosis, rather than tap water? I recently bought a water distiller and always shocked to see the stinking gunk and filth at the bottom of the machine after use.
