There are hundreds of different kinds of flu virus. They dont make vaccines for every one of them but have to guess which ones might be the worst way ahead of flu season. You end up with a shot treating 2-3 different kinds of flu out of the hundreds possible. Remember the big scare a few years ago where people were ready to kill each other for a flu shot? The news was reporting a nastier flu that year that had already killed people and everyone panicked. The sad thing was that that particular deadly strain of flu wasnt one that they picked to be in that years flu shot. So all these people werent even getting treated for the deadlier flu.

You will always have those that feel like they need to follow and do what the others are doing without knowing or asking why. You will also notice the anger they have if they find out you arent a follower also. They are closed in their minds and like easy answers. They never are interested in knowing your reasons why, they just want to attack your decisions. They never have a good argument for their belief either. Its just based on others telling them they should have shots or they need this treatment or that medicine. The majority of people dont ask "why?" Sad but true...

Just turned down the opportunity for a free flu shot at work two days ago. You would have thought I turned down a promotion to be the president of the company with at least 10 co-workers coming to tell me that I was out of my mind. I never realized that I was such a minority on this. I haven't had a flu shot since 1994 and it was never a big deal until this year...

I was vaccinated as a child, though not on schedule, but have not had a shot since I was about 12. At the university I go to we are required to show we have either had the MMR vaccination or are immune. Luckily I had already had the shot so I didn’t have to get it. They also push the meningitis shot on us pretty heavily. We did have a case of meningitis on campus last year, and everyone who hadn’t already gotten the shot went and got it. A few days later we found out that it was a strain that isn’t covered be the vaccine. Of course not even the one student’s roommate ended up getting it. I’m just glad I was sick at the time, so nobody was able to give me a hard time about not going and getting the shot. This year they’re really pushing the flu shot on us. I’m not getting that one, I’ve never had the flu and I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting it anytime soon. I’m a pre-med student and I’m planning on going into pediatrics, so I’m going to have to deal with giving vaccinations, but I am going to try to do it as little as possible. Maybe if a child’s doctor is telling a parent they don’t think the child should be vaccinated the parent will listen.

My parents knew nothing about nutrition against disease; they limited only my candy intake so I grew up on white flour, white sugar, margarine, and all the rest of the processed, adulterated, chemicalized package and convenience foods. Programmed to believe the drug-dependent medical establishment was the only means to achieve or maintain health, I faithfully followed the doctor's and dentist's advice. Dutifully following the way I'd been raised, sincerely believing I was doing everything possible to protect the health of my children with their expert advice, it was not until two experiences in the mid to late sixties that I was shocked into realizing the practical definition of "experts" is actually just "drips under pressure!"

First, the medicaly-prescribed pre and post-natal fluoride supplement to which I and my second child were exposed (1963 to 1967) was (by double-blind testing) proved solely responsible for those four years of chronic health problems which revealed our "fluoride allergy".

Later, the severe, adverse reaction of a stepchild and myself to routine DPT booster "shots" revealed forms of fluoride (as well as mercury, et al), a bioaccumulative CNS poison, are used as adjuvants and/or "preservatives" in vaccines.

Subsequent independent investigation revealed more than 50% of all legally-prescribed drugs (100% of all those used illegally) have a fluoride base. Even more shocking was the discovery Smallpox vaccination was discontinued in the sixties because "more people are getting Smallpox from the 'shots' than from other exposure" but the public was lied to and told this was due to the vaccine's "success."

Because we are "fluoride toxic/allergic," our family gave up drug medicine, including immunization by vaccine injections. Exchanging drugs for nutrition against disease, we are stronger, healthier now than we were forty years ago and certainly healthier than our chronological peers now!

As a child I had to receive my vaccination for Mumps/Measles/Rubella three times because it didn't 'work'.

I've received the Hep B series twice and it still doesn't read in my blood.

I work with people in an instutuional setting and am 'required' to get the Flu shot, and have had it 3 times; I had to try, at least 3 times, to prove that becoming ill after the shot wasn't a fluke.

Each time I had the shot I've become EXTREMELY ill, to the point of losing time.

In the last 4 years that I've refused the Flu shot, I've never had the Flu. Not once.

What does that say?

Error in article: I checked the sources and vaccines are recommended for women less than or equal to 26 years - not more than 26 years as suggested by this article.

Help! My 10 year old daughter need to have two BABY teeth filled. The dentist wants to put amalgam fillings in at the cost of $35 each under my current plan. He said the teeth will fall out in about a year. To put the resin fillings in will cost $55 more per tooth at $90 each. Can someone please tell me if it would be too risky exposing my daughter to the mercury for one year if I filled both teeth with the amalgam, or should I just suck up the cost and pay the extra $110 to put the resin in. I don't want to expose her to the toxins but I hate the thought that the teeth are going to fall out.

the gov. and big pharma are out to make us dumb and stupid, check out bilderberg group and thats a good start becuase theres too much information to list here, also the free downloadable movie called end game by a phenomenal person alex jones and his website prisionplanet dot com is going to help spell things out why the immunizations are being pushed, also google bush vetos mercury and you can come up with articles that bush plant to veto the bill to take out mercury from our immunizations, why? because besides uranium mercury is the most deadly a slow killer it is a plan for world enslavement and it starts with the children first. thank goodness you already are aware and there is this community of people who are in the know but dont take my word for it get educated check out those sites to share with others it is factual and provable not just a theory, it is happening and let us keep spreading the word to those who still dont believe who cares about what they think? we know we are raising our families correctly they just believe the hype poor them

OK, yes I have tried it. I have only had the flu twice in the last 20 years. Once, after I finally gave in and got a flu shot in 1991 (boy did I get sick when exposed to my niece who had the flu; obviously a different strain, which is the real falacy in the flu vaccine myth.) The second time was last year when I was chilled by a draft at work. After suffering for 2 days I finally took homeopathic influenzum and could actually feel it stop the symptoms. I recoverd completely in another couple of days.

Hmmm. Maybe all these adults getting boosters will feel sick from them, and begin to question vaccines!! Let's think positively, this could have an unintended backlash they are not anticipating!!

Let's just hope the adults getting boosters are more with it than I was. Only in retrospect did I realize I was having a joint pain reaction to the Rubella portion of the MMR booster (I still have pain in my right hand and wrist)...and my mom over a year later realize the flu shot made her get the flu the previous year. Well, better late than never. But these experiences make me wonder--if I and my mom both had bad reactions to vaccines and did not put 2 and 2 together until we were already "against" vaccines some time later, how many others have negative rxs and NEVER connect the dots??

I am reading Dr. Cass Ingram book, "The Cause for Cancer Revealed...the vaccination connection"

Some interesting information, it seems mercury kills the virus in the vaccination. It seems that formaldehyde does not do a complete job of killing. From what I understand, some add mercury and then try to take it out after the virus is killed by the mercury. I could be wrong. Anyway, the polio vaccination seems to be the one that causes the most problems. From my reading, I understand

that in 2000 the polio vaccination was no longer recommended or given. I did not receive the polio vaccination.

I thought 1:166 was way too much but now with 1:150 autism rate. How can people not make the connection?

My heart cries out for the willfull ignorance.

I am the eldest of 4 and received all my vaccinations as a child (thank goodness only a tiny amount compared to the list of scheduled vaccinations for babies these days).

My younger brother (the third eldest in my family) had severe atopic eczema and asthma that had him in and out of hospital. He was not able to be vaccinated on schedule because he was always so sick. This got my mum questioning the need for vaccination, that if a very sick little baby who needed all the protection he could get couldn't receive a vaccination because he was so sick then why would a perfectly healthy child with a normal and fully functioning immune system need a vaccination. None of my other brothers were ever vaccinated as a result.

I am thankful that when I'm ready to have children that my mother and family will be supportive of my decision not to vaccinate (my partners mother, who is a nurse will be another story, but thankfully she lives on the other side of the world).

The laws in Australia concerning vaccination are far less draconian than parts of America but the social stigma for the unvaccinated child and general level of public ignorance concerning vaccination is the same.
