I only want to clarify something for the statements regarding primary voting. Not only is it important to know whether or not your state's primary is open or closed, but if it is closed and you need to change party affiliation in order to participate, you will need to know the cutoff date. In response to this topic being inappropriate, the cost to our health by letting politics be carried out in it's business as usual approach will result in no change for the better. The abuses of government eventually all manifest in increased stress levels. We all know what stress does to one's health. They don't call it the silent killer for nothing.

Regarding government and your health and well-being, less of the former equals more of the latter.

Haven't you all seen "Sicko"? It was clear in the movie how most of the world's democratic governments, including Canada, England and France, have made health care, day care and other necessities FREE to all its citizens--and yes, they pay more in taxes, but at least they get something for it. There's nothing wrong with government and taxes when they work for the people's benefit, and apparently it's just here in the United States where the government, since Reagan, has been taken over by people who say they don't even BELIEVE in governent, it's so bizarre, and they're attempting to dismantle it! I have to say though, as much as I love Ron Paul, he never said what would happen to the elderly without Social Security, and he didn't say how he'd raise revenues to pay for such things as infrastructure, etc. without taxes, and indeed, what ABOUT universal health care? I hate to say it, with all the enthusiasm for Ron Paul, maybe this is a bad time to mention Dennis Kucinich but, he really is the ideal candidate; in fact, he's the only member of congress to submit a bill for impeachment which is currently in the judiciary committee. Contact the House judiciary committee and tell them to hold hearings!

I am a supporter of Ron Paul, but there is one very important economic proposal which I expect he is very wrong about. That is his proposal to return to the gold standard. The problem with that plan is that the majority of America's gold was secretly sold to international banking interests some time ago. As a result a return to the gold standard would simply keep America enslaved to private international bankers with the agenda of One World Government, ...as it is today.

So Dr. Paul thinks we all did well prior to income taxes?

Hmmmm...

Do you like to have children in the workplace?

Would you like to have the wealthy rule the country?

Probably not.

Do you like public schools?

Do you like roads we can all share?

I think so.

Let's drop this fantasy about Ron Paul.

It is idiotic to assume we can not pay taxes and have a just society. It is equally foolish to assume that we will all come together to create the common good without some intervention.

Doubt me? Try living in a 3rd world country. I am in the Philippines. Famous for it's friendly people, but also a total wreck. There is no real government here. And it is a disaster. Go to India, or any other country without a strong government. What do you see? Chaos.

What we need is a RATIONAL government. But Humans do not seem rational. Any rational humans out there?

If so, vote for Obama and do not waste your time and energy on a fringe guy who is not rational. Obama makes sense. No one else does.

Yes, Ron Paul is all for freedom - just not for a women's freedom to make choices about her own body. As a women I feel we have come too far to vote in a man to head our country so that he can tell me (or rather support legislation that tells me) what I can or can't do with my body. No thank you! And that's why he doesn't have a chance - because there are many other women who feel that way. I know some people think the abortion issue should only be one of many issues to take into consideration when judging a candidate - but this is an issue I just won't compromise on. It's too fundamental. Sorry but after thousands of years of men telling women what they can or cannot do we've come too far to take any steps backwards.

What is also found to be "rude" by many, is when an over reaching govt entity dictates or otherwise restricts and controls what natural foods we the people may choose to partake of.

No doubt there are many in America that would rather lay down , fed chemicals and be otherwise acted upon. that is their choice. However there are also many who choose liberty over servitude.

With the choice of liberty and self determination comes the requirement of action. No doubt such action is offensive to some.

But then Garlic is offensive to some as well. Oh well!

So if we do not want to be licensed to grow and eat garlic etc, then we as a people must unite, wake up and smell and affect the chaos of politics. It is our only choice if we want to preserve choice.

Dr. Mercola is clearly a well founded person and is by the grace of our Creator continuing to benefit many by spreading truth.

Google "Anti-Communitarian League" and discover the truth of how very close we are to losing all of our freedoms entirely. For a better understanding of what the definition of personal liberty means for you I recommend the writings of Glen Allport, author of "The Paradise Paradigm".

From communitarianism has sprung communitarian law, and many laws on the books today reflect this form of collectivist thinking - which is so contrary to what the framers of our constitutional republican law had in mind when our country was founded.

Given we're endowed with normal cognitive abilities... utilizing language... comes adaptability to all that which surrounds us in a modern society. With acceptance of language it's easy to see how willfully we give in to everyday authoritarian constructs. And in understanding futilitarianism we realize how assumptions and false beliefs bedevil all of us.

Finally, only through mindfulness does one recognize how fleeting... truth itself... really is.

That being said, I'm happy and thankful I have at least average health. I'm also delighted to find more Ron Paul supporters in a setting I didn't expect.

You and I are only freed when we think in terms of self-reliance. Dr. Paul's message is resonating because too many of us rely on others to do our thinking for us - since thinking is often difficult, or seen as time-consuming.

We can think of ourselves as trapped; or we can think of ourselves as liberated - though intellectual and financial elitists may think they know better how we should live our own lives... nothing can be further from reality. We are works-in-progress; and we're - each one of us - an original work of art - and for all this... we can be grateful.

Dr. Paul has publicly stated there is no such thing as perfect knowledge. And he's certainly not ever going to be the perfect candidate either. However, as the U.S.A. was meant to be a land governed by the rule of law, and less by men, then I can support a man called "Dr. No".

I agree - Time is of the essence. You see, we need to raise money well before we plan to spend it. That's because most of the expenditures that we make need to be paid for weeks in advance. For example, we need to buy crucial airtime for the end of December right now.

The sooner we raise this money, the sooner that we can spread Dr. Paul's message - our message - in the early primary states. Time truly is money.

I'm very happy that you support Ron Paul! We need his leadership and integrity right now. One comment though: I read that you were encouraging readers to wait until Dec.16th to donate to Dr. Paul's campaign. However, if you go to www.ronpaul2008.com, those in charge of fundraising have said that it is really very important for everyone to donate right now, as monies are due shortly for the ads that will run soon. This request comes directly from Ron Paul's campaign. The teaparty fundraiser, while a great idea, is run by a supporter, who is not aware of the time and budget constraints. i will be there/here on dec 16. i have not watched a tv set in a decade or so with all the garbage and such but the tonight show was very impressive. will ron paul remove the most insidious poison that helps kill more people than anything else on this planet? will he stop fluoride from being put in our: water, food, refreshments, and so called medicines? can ron paul stop the chemtrails that guess what is in those? jfk tried and could not stop the EVIL. he paid with his life. what are you willing to pay...

Politics is crucial to the lives of EVERYone, EVERY day! If we don't stay informed & involved, our rights will be taken away! We are taught (with subtlety at times) to stay out of politics & let the elites handle it. (Isn't that why they invented Soccer in England - to keep the masses busy & out of politics?) And we've stayed out of politics, and now our country is falling apart!

Without someone like Ron Paul as president, the U.S. will be going along with the UN's Codex plan (Google it), which seeks to "harmonize" food & supplement rules with all nations of the world. Which means...we will no longer be able to get basic vitamins/supplements without a prescription! So much for health freedom.

Re Kucinich as VP to a Paul presidency... the two men are friends, and Paul respects Kucinich because of his integrity & honesty.

However, they are at opposite ends when it comes to some political issues, such as the federal govt's role in healthcare. Kucinich leans towards socialism, which means high taxes to the govt so the govt can control/handle more aspects of our lives, such as providing healthcare.

Ron Paul is a conservative, who believes that not only is it unconstitutional for the govt to control so much of our lives & restrict our liberties, but that the fedl govt only mismanages healthcare & drives medical costs up exponentially!

Ron Paul also believes in the sovereignty of America, and will not bow down to what the UN wants when it comes to Americans losing their rights.

I have lived in a country that banned some alternative meds, other alternative meds were not available at all, and vitamins & supplements were very limited in availability. I did not realize just how easy we have it in America. And I sure do not want to see those freedoms taken away -- I want to make my own healthcare choices, and be responsible for my own health.

Whether Ron Paul wins or not, the more votes that he receives at all levels of election, the stronger the message to the political system. It may seem that things cannot be changed, but they can. It just isn't easy or guaranteed.
