I just want to say that I do believe that spectrum disorders are caused by vaccines. This is the start of the chain reaction, destroyed immunity/metal assault and then assault after assault from enviroment. My sons affects was within minutes of vacs. Typically it is a slow progressive affect that isnt usually noticed until about 1-2 months after vaccine. Most spectrum disorders start around the age of 2yrs, this varies also. Mercury is not the only toxin in vac's www.vaccination.inoz.com/ingredie.html. For those who say there children was not vaccinated, most dont realize that the hospitals give the B & K vac when they are born and most parents dont realize it. Also I believe spectrum issues are virally passed to others around them. Most with spectrum child end up with medical issues also, just dont see the connection!Also consider pestisides, food additives, etc. As far as the cell phone, this is salt on the wound issue. My husband works with EMW(electrico magnetic waves) in mass amounts!! He said that the the waves kill living cells if in direct path(EMW's shoot in a beem form). This also come not only from cell phones, but microwaves(this is why food is no good after heating, most cells(nutrients) are destroyed, even water minerals), exray machines and our computers, etc. That is why when someone is in an exray room with someone else being exrayed, we have to wear a lead cover, this bounces off the waves from the one wearing. We dont have this gaurd with our cells, microwave, computers, etc and that poor guy being exrayed!!. Im sorry, but to the earlier poster, I dont feel this is a ploy from politics, I feel this goes way deeper than that!! Kind of a nerving thought!! Anyways, the cell phones do cause harm! So do vac's, so does our food, water, etc. etc. The amish have it the best:) Also they have no spectrum issues(no vacs, no cells, organic food, etc. etc)! But they are being worked on also I believe!! What to do.. I guess the best we can!!

I don't agree with zidek666 that an unproven theory is therefore absolute nonsense ( -we have done many things in history only to have them clearly proven to be detrimental later sometimes after much collusion and conspiracy from those with vested interests -just think of the asbestos and smoking fiascoes), but I do believe that we need to clearly differentiate between what are assertions/beliefs/gut feelings/suspicions and what are proven scientific facts with evidence.

Dr Susan Hardwick made the observation that "It's not immediately apparent how cell phone radiation traps heavy metals in a biological (nerve) cell." She wasn't saying that it wasn't true. I suspect that she was simply pointing out that the scientific proof and process that causes this hasn't been clearly demonstrated anywhere in this article. My gut feeling is that we don't really know what all this radiation will do to us -not in the short term or in the longer term.

It is my belief/gut feeling/assertion that Dr Mercola acts with very good intentions, but he is also not immune from the above.

If we are to be believed, we should also be prepared to state clearly if we have a personal financial or vested interest in that which we are supporting or promoting -the financial interest doesn't invalidate the advice or theory, it makes it clear where you are coming from -and perhaps more believable.

On the issue of being believable, keeping politics to a political websites and spirituality to spiritual websites is a great idea. I have my own spirituality and belief system -not going to tell you about it here. Sure, tell me about the scientifically proven benefits of anything including meditation -I'll run with that.

My aunt gave me one of these for my phone at a cost of $60. After reading the review I think they are a scam. The worst part is that using one of these can make one feel safe and so lead to more cell phone use.

In my homeopathic practice I treat dozens of children on the autism spectrum. Although there is no research to support it, I contend that ultrasound is a major factor in autism. Back in the 1950's the casual use of x-ray seriously affected many people before the deleterious effects of radiation became evident. The impact of the casual use of ultrasound on a developing fetus will prove to have damaging effects, I believe. Do you know of any studies linking ultrasound with autism?

Homeopathy is showing some promise in the cure of autism. Amy Lansky's book, "The Impossible Cure" is required reading for anyone involved in treating this complex condition, and can provide hope and direction for families of these kids. I certainly agree that cell phone radiation and vaccine damage are contributing factors, but I don't believe they're the only ones.

For the people writing in saying there is no proof that autism is on the rise: Are YOU BLIND? You must be to be able to look around you and not see the children losing their already acquired speech and social skills. As a mother of an autistic child I am disgusted that there are people who are still turning their noses up at the proof of autism increasing yearly! It probably won't be until your children or your children's, children are suffering from this disorder before you want to acknowledge the facts. In the 1970's most people did not know probably even one person with autism. Not to mention their being one child in almost every family suffering from this now. My heart breaks to know the struggles that my child will face and the discrimination from idiots who cannot seem to even try to communicate with autistic people as another human being. My child is just like you only because of vaccinations and other environmental causes he can no longer hold a conversation or share his knowledge with others. I am disgusted, horrified and flabbergasted that people are so ignorant and close minded to the facts. Our own government whom has at the very least contributed to these children's disorder by not taking the vaccination argument more serious. In my opinion the vaccinations ARE WHAT PUSHED MY CHILD OVER THE EDGE and caused his autism. Time will tell if the parents of these children are right..... I think that this cell phone theory could absolutely have validity. I for one would get rid of a cell phone for the health of my little boy I wouldn't take any chances so bye bye nextel!

There was very little cancer in the 1800s. In the early 1900s, Big Pharma/AMA got rid of the 11 homeopathic schools that existed in the United States, because homeopathy WORKS! There were studies done that showed that homeopathy worked better on many diseases than pharmaceutical drugs.

I think that the cause of autism and other childhood diseases is an overload of toxins and heavy metals, coming mainly from vaccines. Of course, there are autistic children who have never had a vaccine, so that cannot be the only cause. Lets not forget heavy metals and toxins in water, formula, in food, in household products like dishwashing soap and laundry detergent, soaps and shampoos (even the ones for babies are loaded with toxins,) toothepaste, lotions, and one thing often overlooked is the baby's mattress, somthing the baby spends a lot of time on. I've read that children with autism do usually have higher levels of phosphorous and antimony, both of which chemicals are found in the mattress. This just names a few of the things. So it does make some sense if cell phone use traps in all these toxins, how it can contribute to autism.

Lack of real vitamins and nutrients can't help either. Probably many children have vitamin A deficiency. I don't personally know anyone besides myself that gives their baby daily cod liver oil and egg yolk. Now that my son is 7 months, I will give him chicken livers once or twice a week too...and he loves them. Also, as long as I can obtain it, he will always drink raw milk.

He received no vaccines at birth, only 4 at 2 months (not really my choice, lots of pressuring from doctor,) no vaccines at 4 months or 6 months, and never any again. He was partially breastfed for 3 months (as long as I could..unfortunately was not successful in this,) and has since been on a raw milk formula. All the household products I use for him and his soap and shampoo are organic and natural, and his mattress is properly wrapped with the plastic cover. I feel like I am taking many precautions to prevent autism, but of course it still scares me very much, for how can I take every precaution if I don't know what they all are.

As I read the posts both options are presented. So which will you choose? Technology is a tool not an object of worship or a sentient being with evil intentions, we however are the children with dangerous tools such as Genetic manipulation, atomic fusion and energy in the form of EMF. The potential for a cell phone transmission to cause molecular resonance in our bodies is enormous and highly probable. this is the same phenomenon that cooks food in a microwave. AS many readers pointed out cell phone energy decays as a cube function in space ( or to the third power as linear distance changes). So using cell phones with a headset at a distance is the most practical option for us who will continue using them, hopwever i agree with keeping children away as far and long as possible. The industry will use the FEAR factor to promote cell phone use in children, which most faith led folks can ignore easily. The notion that all EMF is allegedly dangerous or causative to health issues discussed oin this website is absolute nonsense and without scientific basis.

Show me a study that technicians that work near high powered broadcast transmitters, transmitting antennas radiating millions of Watts have more health issues.

As of yet, it's all anecdotal and NOT definitive. Notice that all the claims state that EMF "MAY" cause this or that and yet the claims avoid stating that it DOES in fact!

Until it is DEFINITIVE, I encourage everyone to use cellular phones and all electronic devices if you can afford it, if it improves your life goals and is useful.

We have since conception all been exposed to extremely high levels of EMF across the entire electromagnetic spectrum from ELF to superhigh energy cosmic rays throughout our lives.

Everyone else on planet earth has also not only in the present but in the past.

If indeed there is any dangerous EMF, it is only where a emission is of sufficient power level and frequency to resonate water molecules to above ambient temperature such as in a microwave oven.

Others may be the various radio diathermy devices used by quack medics in the past.

Indeed, there is merit in Dr. Mercola's recommendations about not cooking with a microwave oven due to secondary effects of altering the molecular structure of foods unsafely.

Hello,

I have been reading about PCA-Rx and AF-x, which are two relatively new formulations by Maxam Labs. The PCA-Rx is a comprehensive detoxifier to rid the body of many different toxins, including heavy metals through a process that is supposed to be better than chelation. The AF-x is their Autism Factor for treating Autism.

I have been reading many comments and testimonials about substantial success with this in the treatment of autism by parents of children who suffer with this illness. I have been using the PCA-Rx for detoxification purposes myself and I believe it has helped my fibromyalgia.
