Mercola's

I enjoyed both articles. As a health care professional, I often extend myself beyond the call of duty to help others. Therefore, I have incorporated stress busting techniques in my day. Deep breathing exercises, meditation, listening to music and asking others to help me. I am learning to organize my life which includes: finding a home for my papers, standing over the garbage can and throwing away unwanted mail ( flyers from stores) and prioritizing my tasks helps me get through the day. In addition taking mini breaks and allowing myself a day of rest and relaxation which includes giving myself a facial, and a pedicure. Thanks for the information. I will pass this information to my colleagues. Thanks, Renee. author of Stress Down and Lift Up

I do not have problems with keeping the laundry or the dishes up, but i do fight with clutter. I also do not always have everything in its place as I often have several projects going on at one time. I always know where everything is, which can drive my husband crazy! He thinks that because I seem disorganized, that I cannot possibly know where anything is. When I do, it angers him. I think this is because I DO know where everything is, even though it seems "out of place" to him. My house is clean enough for company, which is clean enough for me!

I am NOT one of those super organized people! But I have often noticed that I am not as stressed as most of them either! I live a pretty stress-free life, even with my own brand of clutter....

Eliminate clutter you do not need. If you have not used it in over a year & it has no sentimental value (and, even that is arguable), give to someone in your family that has expressed interest, donate it to a charity, or sell it on eBay.

re: How to Eliminate Chaos in Your Life and Work

keeping a steady routine keeps me in check as a stay-at-home mom. I used to feel so lazy, lounging around every morning and not getting much done. I am a very organized - unusually organized person. But my daily routine was not. Now I get up at 7:30 every morning & put a load of laundry in the wash, then I go upstairs & make breakfast. After I breakfast the laundry's ready to be dried. Then I get my 1st grader off to school and my husband heads next door to the church where he's the Associate Pastor. By the time I've cleaned & picked up around the house and checked my e-mail it's time to fold & put away laundry. I usually have my house really clean and everything done by 10am. Then I have the rest of the day to chat with my sister online or play with my 3 year old or cook or exercise or head out and do something. The only "work" I have to do after my husband comes home from work is make supper & do the dishes & help my son with his homework. After we give the boys a bath and put them to bed we have time together. I no longer am folding 7 loads of laundry while we watch a movie late at night. Life is much happier and peaceful at home. All because I put a load of laundry in at 7:30am. Beautiful!

re: Top 12 Organizing Tips For Getting Your Life Back in Order

Simple practical suggestions, that are worth implementing.

Mary

re: Top 12 Organizing Tips For Getting Your Life Back in Order

All sound, sober and salient in suggestion.
