I am a little appalled to find so many people unwilling to accept that science might have something to offer us with vaccines, and that maybe your doctor knows something. Listen, folks, a LOT of studies have looked for a link between thimerosol in vaccines and autism-spectrum disorders, and the evidence isn't there. Yes, thimerosol is hazardous in large amounts, but the levels in vaccines should not cause any sort of problems in most people. The presence of true symptoms in a small minority is not proof that there is some harm in everyone that gets vaccinated.

The diseases that vaccines prevent are actually pretty terrible. Polio. Hep B. Rubella. These can seriously maim, even kill, and civilization is far better for having found ways to push back the tide. Herd immunity halts diseases from spreading in the population. That's the public health interest in vaccination. Vaccines are required in schoolchildren to keep the whole class safe, and in healthcare providers to keep patients safe. Health professionals generally act with good intentions, and science, on their side when they support vaccination.

Yes, vaccines can lead to adverse reactions in a tiny tiny fraction of recipients, but there is a public health interest in having everyone vaccinated. That's a dilemma, and that's why the "Vaccine Court" awards settlements to people with true adverse reactions to vaccination. Autism, as far as I'm aware, isn't one of those categories. The science does not support this link.

Skepticism is a good characteristic, and everyone is entitled to a clear explanation from their doctor about why a vaccine is needed and whether it is safe. But go into the discussion willing to trust your doctor. And those studies? Sure, funding from industry can be a fine reason to question a view. But if you want to critique a scientific study, read the paper and find a flaw. Don't just say it must be wrong because of who funded it, or because someone told you it's part of a conspiracy theory.

I noticed a comment about who owns the children--to try and put it simply, when a couple obtain a marriage license, they have gotten 'permission' from the state to marry, making the state the third party in the marriage. Therefore, the state has an 'interest' in the children, the 'product' of the marriage. Of course, the state has and does usurp authority even when a couple did not obtain a license. I am all for educating people on the evils of the medical system and helping people see just what is being done to them and their families. Thank you Dr. Mercola for a wealth of information!

Here's a question. When illegals come into the U.S. with their children and enroll them into school, how is this accomplished if there isn't any medical records pertaining to vaccinations?

Is there any correlation between the infant eye drops and children needing glasses at a younger age? My daughter, at six, has worse vision than I do. Even though I used a midwife, they did use the eye drops.

For these parents who's children are vacinated against their knowledge or will, has anyone considered quickly address this with activated charcoal water internally and as a poltrices to absorb and draw these substances right back out? Then follow up with therapeutic grade essential oils to neutralize and chelate? I usually carry some charcoal around and have used it with quick and significant results from chemical triggered migrains, shingles, stings and bites...

I heard that military recruits are subjected to mandatory vaccination before admittance into the armed services.

Do they have any recourse to avoid the needle?

(BTW, I am an ASVAB test Administrator and would like to pass this information onto the hundreds of recruits I test each year)

I live in New York, where they are gunning for anyone seeking alternative medicine and education. I was threatened by a Ped. Dr. for the birth of my 3rd child. He simply said that if I had not become compliant for the Vitamin K and antibiotic eye care for my child that he would call Child Protective Services on me. Anyone that knows about vaccinations should know about the unspoken "required" treatment at the hospital of vitamin K (for newborn hemorrhaging) and eye treatment (for contact of STD's at birth). While I was able to obtain a waiver at the hospital for these procedures just in time for this birth, I was unable to get it for our 4th child. Our midwife had moved to another hospital and we called to set a waiver there, with the success of our last attempt. However, we were met with vehement opposition from the Nurse Manager. She simply stated that we would not be permitted to leave until they had vaccinated our child and that if we did not like it, have a homebirth! So we did!!! That was the best choice I have ever made. My husband and I had my family there as support and we had our baby unassisted at home! No nurses or doctors to argue with and no hospital illnesses to worry about catching or my baby getting. I know that this is a lot for anyone to take in, but it is everything and more than you could ever imagine. The most natural thing I could have done for myself or for my baby! BTW, I also homeschool my children to keep them from all of the unnecessary requirements the state wants to lay on the public school. I have them enrolled in an art's institute so that they can still experience classroom and fellow student activities. Socialization is no issue here!

Thought the Dr.'s heart was in the right place, his head wasn't. He needed to help his patients avoid vaccination legally, not by falsifying records. This just makes all of us who avoid vaccination look more the illegals, when we aren't. Since this man was a doctor he could have EASILY provided medical exemption - legally. There was no need to commit the illegal act of falsifying records.

It's nice to see that a few people are finally waking up to what is going on. I knew these things 30 years ago, and people that knew us thought we were kooks. I didn't care. I had 6 children, all born at home, and none vaccinated. They are now ages 17 to 26, and all very healthy. I also didn't feed them junk food, or junk cereals for breakfast.

People always have options, unless they think they don't, then they are right. More people need to keep spreading the word until we get enough people waking up, then the drug companies, politicians, et all can no longer keep doing what they are of raping the people.

After Homeschooling my children for many years I had to put some of them into the public school system. When registering my 16 yr. old son at the local high school I was asked about his immunization record. I told them that he had not had any and she looked at me shocked and said she could not finish out the forms without it. I said to her that legally she had to have exemption forms for me to fill out. She angrily stood up and opened the cupboard door directly above her head and pulled one out and pushed it across the desk at me!!! HAHA! Now I have three children enrolled there and they all have the forms in thier files without questions or looks. I know they just think it is us "crazy, whacked out homeschoolers" who do this kind of "negligent" thing. They are the ones that are uninformed! Sad!

Another reason the statistics may not be accurate is that they change the criteria for the illness count every once in a while so that there may suddenly be a huge increase in numbers. Statistics are easy to manipulate! Studies can be set up to return the wanted result. They don't mean much until you can look at all the information.

What if they just came up with a vaccine that didn't have all those toxic chemicals in it? Doesn't ANYONE make such a vaccine? I think most people, including me, would be fine with protecting their children against serious, life-threatening and/or crippling diseases if the vaccine didn't have this stuff in it that was going to potentially cause their child irreversible harm.

I think if I were in that position - and I have just been married, so I may be in the not-too-distant future - my response would be to say yes, you can vaccinate my child when you do it using a vaccine that is just a vaccine and does not have these synthetic and toxic things in it.

Does anyone know if there have been any class-action suits or something of the like?

It is not only vaccines, it is also your choice of medical treatment that is being forced by the weight of the law. If parents chose to treat childhood cancer, in other than the so called medically accepted fashion they run the risk of having their children taken from them. Our rights are in the hands of a bunch of greedy corporations, and there is nothing we as citizens are willing to do about this mess. THROW THE BUMS OUT. Clean out the House, and the Senate. Then make sure we have term limits. Only we the people can make said changes.

On a simplier note ask yourselves why there are no victims of Autism, amoung the Amish people? Their children are not given vaccinations. Then ask why things such as this new cold virus is upon us, and why bacteria is resistant to todays meds? Ask why our enviroment is so laden with this fungus, that bacteria, and this virus? SIMPLE, YOUR GOVERNMENT AND BIG PHARMA CREATED THESE SUPER BUGS. Bird Flu, Swine Flu, yes and even Aids. Likely you will find the government at the bottom of the new super cold virus.

Do not take my word for any of this some of the information can be found simply by searching for these bugs online. Then there is industrial run off. God knows what is now in our soil, and ground water. Then there is the food industry. With the billions of animals we slaughter each year world wide, did you know they do not get a medical check up before being put in the food chain? And our government continues to refuse to have a uniform manner of checking for MAD COW DISEASE. In their wisdom, our government leaves it up to the industry.

Once we gave up feeding ourselves, and handed this chore over to Big Business, we may as well at the same time put a big red bullseye on our backs. These industries will and have done anything for a buck.
