We must use our brains!! A hydrogen economy will require an entirely NEW, COSTLY hydrogen infrastructure, including hydrogen gas stations (which btw are extremely dangerous) and hundreds of thousands of them, at that. We already have the technology in the form of clean and efficient electric batteries.

So let's create a new Manhattan Project- but utilize the brain power around the world- to figure out how to recharge electric batteries while in motion. Then we retool Detroit and the world with these new technologies. Big mileage will result in Big Sales, saving Detroit!!!

In the GEP, Detroit is only allowed taxpayer money if Detroit agrees to only produce electric cars using the very finest technologies. This will wrest control of Detroit away from Big Oil and at last, Detroit will manufacture cars/SUVS that have zero carbon footprint, and run indefinitely on a single charge (or at least 500 miles +). Everyone, including UPS, FedEx, et al, will immediately switch over to Detroit's electric power trains, because their bottom lines will skyrocket.

If we (the taxpayer/Detroit/the govt) can figure out even how to get 500 miles per charge, the sales revolution that would occur (within 1-2 years of retooling Detroit) will absolutely be astounding. And if engineers can create a vehicle that gets indefinite mileage, then we can manufacture ourselves out of recession- as well as the world because they will use the same technology.

Usually the last to know something, haven't you all heard of Stan Meyer and his hydrogen car (machine) that produces 1700 times more energy than conventional such machines and does not even get hot and runs on any kind of water, even sea water?

Check out Youtube, Zero Point Energy Stan Meyer. And don't just watch the first video, there is some very interesting stuff beyond that too. Even about Tesla and why he was stopped from continuing his experiements whereby he was trying to put electricity into the air that anyone could source. I think some of you have spoken to why Tesla's funding was cut off; well, this idea that electricity would be available to everyone that he was experiimenting with (available without cost), certainly seems like a viable explanation to me.

I wish people would quit bringing up compressed air cars. Compressing air is a very energy wasting process. Having worked in industrial maintenance for a number of years, I can tell you that air compressors use massive amounts of energy. We did a cost analysis of using compressed air in our plants and I was blown away at the cost. Do some research; air doesn't compress itself! On another note; until the WORLD wakes up and realizes that the international bankers, headed by the Rothchilds and their elitist extended friends and family, are brought down, the rest of us are going to keep on voting for and electing the people they allow us to. The mass media is all owned by these people and even if someone had the answers you will either never hear about it or the disinformation networks will discredit them so thoroughly that most people will ignore them. Many of the tech advances you see in sci-fi are possible now and have been for years. But when someone tries to bring these up all you hear are remarks about how "Thats just make believe movie stuff". And it's not just tech info. One of the easiest ways to disinfo any idea about anything is to make people think that it's just some "nut" or "conspiracy crackpot" who has seen too many movies or read too much sci-fi or spy thrillers. The NWO is here and has been for a number of years; it just takes time for it to all come together. " ROME WASN"T BUILT IN A DAY!!!!!! Keep an open mind. The more bad press ( or lack of any press) can be a good indicator of the elitist censorship or disinformation agenda at work!!!!!!!

Natural Energy is definitely a must to use. There is no need for oil or fossil fuels. As for the "Global Warming" SCAM! I would definitely take the time to research the real science on global warming and you will conclude as many of us have that it does NOT exist and you will see the junk science they use.

When you realize the companies that are dependent on the global warming scam for funding and employment, I am sure all will be outraged to know the REAL truth of what is REALLY going on out there! I hope this post will encourage those who believe in the global warming scam to take a much much deeper approach to their research. I do not want anyone to believe what I say, I would rather you go research it.

In Canada, we always look to use as much alternative energy as possible. We use a lot of wind turbines here in Alberta, and we do have a lot of oil in this province. We realize that water, solar, and wind power is the way to go and it does reduce the costs and is far more efficient then gas and oil. It works! The power that is accumulated, because there is so much EXCESS from wind and water power, it gets housed in whats called a, Solar Cell. Solar cells do not need any light or exposure to the sun. When more energy is captured, you can literally power your whole town from your own backyard with the "spill over". It is far more economical!

If you work in the oil industry, I can understand people being negative as their very own well paying jobs are at risk! But just think, those people can also get educated and receive training to bring their skills to the next level of new power and energy. It beats killing innocent people to get oil.

Fact: USA Is the largest consumer of oil at 25% of the worlds oil

Fact: USA's oil supply of America is at 3%

These are the reasons for them NOT backing down on the use of oil. They would rather consume, then save.

America is desperate to take over more oil fields, including those of Canada too.

Americans could also try BUYING SMALLER CARS! There's no need for those great gas guzzlers other than accomodating obesity.

Oh yes, and walking more. When I lived with American students at a university set in beautiful countryside, I was amazed to find that the concept of 'going for a walk' just for the pleasure of it was completely alien to them.

Right now it sounds wonderful to be able to reduce our dependence on oil--after all we are not exactly making any more naturally--its bound to run out eventually. Also, I hear over and over that we only get about 10% of our oil from the Middle East. But, getting back on topic, if we do switch to a hydrogen economy, and water is the by product, what happens to all that water? Does it go into the atmosphere? Will it disappear? As harmless as 'just water' sounds to us right now, will our environment become a humid, moldy, unhealthy mess from all that water? If the CO2 is accumulating now, whats to stop the H20 from accumulating then? As long as we are all contributing to the atmosphere in so many little ways, is there any actual hope for cleaning it up? We could give up our power mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, golf carts, motorcycles and start raking, walking and pushing again. What is the real answer? As long as there are so many of us living in such concentrated areas of settlement and so much industry producing the goods we need, is there any chance of changing things without giving something up?

Let's see, we have our own oil reserves that the "green" crowd does not want us to use. There are many ways we can be eco-friendly and still harvest vast areas for oil and gas. The "green" crowd said that the Alaskan Pipeline would damage the eco-system and it did not.

There is hydro, wind, solar, methane (our garbage dumps make tons of this!), coal (coal scrubbers and other ways to keep it clean), and nuclear (France has shown how safe this can be!), so WHY are we so dependent on Saudi and Venezualan oil (OPEC)??? I'd say for many of the reasons all of you listed (follow the money..., politics).

Plastics come from oil and should not even be considered an alternative to anything. We should never have gotten away from glass as containers for our milk, pop, etc. Plastics have their own problems, including landfill issues.

We have a lot of alternatives, we just need to start using them.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this (didn't read all the posts), but I've been reading about using algae as a fuel source. Apparently, it uses only 1/40th the amount of input energy to produce as ethanol (ethanol is less efficient to produce than gasoline). It can also be grown anywhere and by anyone in ponds. Potentially, each area could be much more independent for fuel with this method. Maybe someone who is more of an expert can comment more on this.
