I have always thought cell phones were safe until I started feeling a burning sensation on my head everytime I used a cell phone. Completely unrealated, I discovered later that I had two nutritional deficiencies that actually protect the body from radiation. Lecithin and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Once I started taking them, I noticed that the cell phone didn't bother me as much any more although I still try and use the speaker phone whenever possible.

take the battery out when not in use, not only keep yourself from getting radiation from regular communication with towers, but the devices are known to be turned on reemotely and monitored. Also Ive heard they send out a small audio file of everything around it when they do the checkin.

I am quite sensitive to these fields and find cell phone use a dark bothersome activity that drains on my relationships, while even placing an unshielded phone in my pocket will slowly work me up. I recently added the sticker to my girlfriend, Allison's phone and find it now to be forgotten in the pocket, comfortable to talk to, and I no longer consider it when her cell phone is near a beverage.

As a shop owner opposing the erection of a mobile phone mast in the street for the last year, I have done a fair bit of research on mobile technology. I believe that what is now happening will one day be regarded as on of the greatest crimes ever against Humanity.

Phones & wi-fi can be avoided by the canny, masts are much harder. And worse, they give whole body pulsed radiation 24/7 for those that work and/or live near them.

Our group failed to stop the mast which is now 50 meters from my shop, 70 meters from a pre-school and 30 meters from the closest resident.

We have spent a small fortune shielding our shop with a carbon based paint that is used by industry to limit rf-emr exposure. We now have low levels in the shop but that is not the real answer.

Mark my words, when today's young teenagers reach the age of 30 or 40 is when we will see the full impact on health from mobile technology.

I did not have room to finish what I needed to say about my correspondence with executives at BioPro U.S. headquarters, so I'll post that remainder here:

"Are there any other recommended precautions for cell phone use by both children, adolescents and adults as such use pertains to protecting bystanders who are not using cell phones, such as within the confines of a car, elevator, or other enclosed space wherein all the people will be exposed to radiofrequency/microwaves that are reflected (bounced around) within the space?

I read Dr. Carlo and Martin Schram's book, "Cell Phones - Invisible Hazards in the Wireless Age" and learned how William Collins, the chairman of MetroCall (a company with 120 stores selling pagers and cell phones), when he heard about the potential dangers of cell phones, wanted to keep them out of the hands of children. He had the company do up a "Health and Safety Bulletin" to give out to everyone coming into one of their 120 stores.

This one page safety bulletin explained the possible dangers of using cell phones and especially warns the parents of children NOT to expose them to health risks from cell phone radiation.

I tracked down this company, sent them a few e-mails and found out their company had been bought out by another company. I asked for a copy of that original Health and Safety Bulletin (several times), but never got a reply. So I have to presume that the company that bought out MetroCall scrapped that bulletin and no longer gives all their customers and potential customers a copy of any health warning bulletin."

Interestingly (and "telling") is they would not provide any biological-type studies that could prove the effectiveness of their product. They DID ask for my personal phone number so someone could call me and discuss things over the phone! I refused and requested ALL information IN WRITING. They did not provide any because there isn't any VALID proof!

First, I think it is inappropriate to use this forum to line your own pockets (advertising your BioPro site).

Second, you're referring people to a questionable product and ignoring the consequences.

In July 06 I began e-mailing BioPro U.S. I questioned their brochure “Is YOUR brain getting FRIED?” claiming product safety based on an irrelevant hypothesis: tissue heating.

Their claim: "The only scientifically proven technology that makes cell phones safe to use." How was it “scientifically proven” as "safe"?

They responded with: “We do have more research and related articles to the cell chips.”

They offered up the MSAS (Study V of August 2005) and the Thermographic Imaging Test (as related to SAR – Specific Absorption Rate), neither of which deals with the biological effects that occur at RF/MW intensity levels THOUSANDS of times LOWER than those that might create tissue heating.

Hi, to any of you out there - tell me have any of you tried BioPro cell chip for your cell phone, PDA and bluetooth ??? I like the fact that by putting this chip on your device you can still use a handsfree (wireless headset) and just put another BioPro chip on the headset and get the same effect....that sounds a ton better than talking through a wired air tube that can fall off your head/ear, get tangled up in things, etc. I would like to know anyone who has had success with this (any comments pros/cons) thanks....in case you're not sure what I am talking about (there are many places over the internet to buy it, but here is the main manufacturer's site): www.bioprotechnology.com

The "science" claim of Dr Mercola is fundamentally flawed!

X-rays are very highly energetic (~millions of electron volts) & extremely short wave 'size'

Radio waves are very low energy (less than one electron volt) & very long wave 'size'...

so the consequences are....

The interaction of tissue with these extremes of radiation are completely different.

1. X-rays penetrate through the body and scatter off bones (that's why they are useful diagnostic tools)

2. Radio waves penetrate through the body and don't scatter off bones (that's why "radio-rays" don't work)

3. Radio waves do not absorb in the body but pass thru as if nothing is there. The energy of a wave is far too small.

4. Cosmic rays from space are far more frequent and are much higher energy than X-rays!! They cause cancer.

5. "Modulation" of radio waves does not change the method of absorption in the body. It's only a radio which can absorb/detect it.

6. Seems to me that this Dr is looking to make a name for his products.....

7. Radio waves have been bombarding humans for >10,000 years (from space) with no measurable biological effects.....

8. Bluetooth is a very low frequency local wireless link with 1/100 the energy of the cellphone, so can't have any effect.

9. These folks should really go to basic Physics classes before making statements about biological sensitivities.

Let me know what you think about these points I have listed - I have been listening to these "scientists" for a long time

and I'm still amazed by their uninformed positions about serious issues .. what about Global Pollution!! (not "warming" which is naturally cyclical ~10,000 yrs)

The horrific contents of this article (below) underscores the folly of people trying to protect themselves from their cell phone addiction with various devices (head sets, shields, BioPro chips, Tachyon disks, pendants, etc.). Even if there existed a scientifically valid protection device, these cell phone users ignore the elephant in their living room (which they fund with their ignorance)… the cell towers proliferating everywhere, broadcasting potentially deadly radiofrequency microwaves 24/7 and thereby creating cancer, neurological diseases and ultimately, deaths. Eating contaminated fish and vaccines containing mercury are more worry to me than the amalgam that has been in my teeth for most of my life. Concerning fluoride, you cannot escape eating it unless you want to live on another planet where it does not exist. It is found naturally in nature, in fresh water supplies, in wells, in soil, etc. It has been here for eons. Where it has been discovered in just the right concentration provided by nature, the people living in that region have shown significantly lower decay rates when compared to non-fluoridated regions. This is the original observation that led scientists to the missing link of fluoride's effect on teeth, not some corporation who just wanted to get rid of their waste products. What might be important is how the fluoride is administered. Nature is the best way, some topical fluorides are next, some diet supplements also, and corporate waste with all of the included toxins is just foolish. But you can blame your politicians for that, if it is true that corporate waste is where we get our fluoridated water. How do “they” know it is fluoride causing all these problems and not other toxic contaminates found in the water? I know this much, science does prove that the fluoride ion does make tooth enamel more resistant to dental decay. I have read most of the articles that fluoride causes cancer and that it is a rat poison, etc. But I am not convinced that it is the culprit for all that it has been accused of. Studies can be manipulated to get the results you want to achieve. Fluoride is related to chloride. If you eat enough salt you will die. The big difference between fluoride and chloride is the amount needed to be toxic. Fluoride is very toxic at very low concentrations. But it is still a necessary nutrient for good health. Just like you need salt, potassium, sugar, etc., in order for your cells to function properly, you also need fluoride at optimal concentration for healthy bones and teeth.
