The cure of Cancer goes back as far as 1879 in Europe and from at least 1919-1959 it was cured in the USA by Dr. Royal Raymond Rife, Dr. William F Koch, Harry Hoxsey, Dr. Max Gerson and Dr. Ernst T. Krebs with his son Ernst T Krebs Jr.

The fact Hydrogen Peroxide, which produces Oxygen, is responsible for the destruction of the Cancerous Tumors is nothing new. Avoiding toxic substances seems to be missing from the key things to staying healthy.

As much as I believe in the power of positive thinking, happieness, exercise and good diet, I also know that exposure to toxic substances is a huge problelm and creates much disease. The liver can only do what it's designed to do - and this probably doesn't include ridding us of daily toxins in huge amounts.

We need to stop with the toxins. Just yesterday there was an article in the news about how plastic bottles are packaging is tied to endocrine disruption and likely contributing greatly to our poor health. Of course I've known this for years but the point is that it's finally getting some mainstream media attention.

Yet mothers continue using plastic baby bottles and allowing their families to drink plastic bottled water, etc. Then we all breathe air polluted from car and diesel exhaust and coal. And we all put who knows what on our skin - the biggest "organ" of our body that is designed to absorb.

my doctor told me that i had acid reflux and started me on nexium-i read the pharmacists' literature and it said nexium may heal erosions in upper gi tract after 6 weeks. i asked my doctor why she wants me to keep taking it? she really did not have an answer-this is 3 years ago and i have found that i now have symptoms that i did not have prior to taking nexium-i am trying to wean myself off this drug by improving diet and increasing enzymes-does anyone have any suggestions, thanks magdalen19013@yahoo.com

Dr Mercola is just making sure that people get all the facts about herbs (and probably covering his butt legally) I see it as saying that it is only a bandaid fix if you don't make ALL the necessary changes to get better. The herbs COMBINED with a suitable lifestyle change is better than modern medicines bandaid fix. He is absolutely correct with the 3 things that impact on your health. Fix these things and you will lead a long and healthy life. No doubt about it.

Hi peggysue777, yes I too take Taurine, it has done wonders to help my heart beat to "mellow out"! My heart would just stop for a second then start up again and it is bothersome when that happens to say the least, so my good old Doc olie (Cliff Oliver Holistic doc) told me about Taurine and it sure does work for me. So glad to read your comment. Yes God has provided us with God given herbs and I praise the Lord for that! thanks for sharing!

Hats off to Carl Forsberg--He hit the nail right on the head with his comments on alkalinity. What most doctors either don't know or don't want you to know is that pretty much all diseases today have one thing in common--their rooted in acidic bodies !! All of Dr. Mercola's comments and protocol for a healthy life will produce an alkaline body--over time !! Dr. Otto Warburg in 1931 won the nobel prize for discovering that while unlike all other cells in the body,cancer cells do not breathe oxygen(anaerobic).Cancer cells cannot survive in high levels of oxygen(alkalinity).The PH scale runs from 1-14 with 7 being neutral. Anyhing less than 7 is acidic & over 7 is alkaline. The bodies blood,lymph fluid & spinal fluid should all be slightly alkaline at 7.4 PH for optimum health. Cancer cells grow slowly in acidic bodies and can go dormant between 7 and 7.4 but they can grow faster with PH over 7.4 and up to 8.5--anything over 8.5 & the cancer cells are destroyed indiscriminately & quickly !! This was disappointing to see Dr. Mercola relagate herbs to the band-aid bin. (Maybe I‘ll have to start my own blog!) This modality is the most ancient foundation and cornerstone of healing for all of history!

This is at least the second time I‘ve read Dr. Mercola talk about herbs as no better than band-aids. This appears to demonstrate 3 things.

1) he is still to some degreee not out of his medical model reductionist MD training, and may not see these living plants as ways to accelerate the process of optimizing biological terrain, (yes, through which diet and lifestyle SHOULD take primary importance).

2) Today finding food as high as in nutritive value as it was before the industrial age is very difficult. Who here buys "biodynamically grown" food at the local produce store? It‘s a myth to believe we are getting all we need out of diet alone!! DIE MYTH, DIE!!

3) He‘s also partly correct: Most people try to use herbs like drugs. Hmmm I‘ll take this herb for that symptom, basically treating the whole plant like an allopathic drug.

However, in this modern age of pervasive and ubiquitous: chemtrails, heavy metals, depleted uranium, anti-biotics (trace amounts in soils, water and foods), estrogen-mimicking compounds, EMF‘s, psychotronic warfare, etc.. even the relatively healthy would highly benefit from that extra edge TONIC herbs provide.

There are many other herbs that are known to assist in cancer states and the encouragement of rogue cell apoptosis. The phytonutrient class of polysaccharides (found in many herbs including some medicinal mushrooms) lead to immune stimulation and apoptosis.

Maitake mushroom, Reishi Mushroom, Cordyceps, Siberian Ginseng, even (‘lowly‘) Rosemary herb, are ALL anti-cancer remedies, working through several biochemical pathways in the body.

I'm sure Dr M is only trying to remind us not to be tempted to treat herbs like this as a "magic bullet" like the advocats of conventional medicine would have us believe exists and not fall into the: "I'm going to spend the day eating icecream, drinking lemonade and watching the telly and then I'll sort myself out with a few mouthfuls of grass" trap.

Everybody should stand back and look at the forest. Whatever keeps us well and helps us combat illness, when we have it, should be our major concern. Diet is extremely important. What we put in our mouths determines, to a great extent, what our body does or doesn't do efficiently. Mercola, to say that herbs are a band-aid is just plain stupid (I'm being kind). Herbs are just as much of a part of what we eat (or should eat) as broccoli. We all have evolved from an extremely long strain before us that didn't have big pharma or were "told" what type of diet we should follow. Simply put, don't put things in your mouth that have been "manufactured" unless you are completely satisfied that they will be positively accepted by your body and do no harm. Look at what you are eating rather than relying on those that are making big bucks to "feed" you. Eating like our ancestors ate 100 years ago ain't too far from what we should do now. Plus, get a lot of sun because that is the major cause of why were are here in the first place. Period!!!

All Mercola is saying is just dont get lazy and rely on a pill even if it is an herb 'pill'. I know exactly what he means. A lot of emotional 'ills' will cause pain and discomfort in the body as well as in the mind and need to be 'cleared'; emotions(energy in motion) get blocked and can cause real proplems, most cancers are an emotional diseases. We need herbs, clearings and healings, etc. to balance whatever we need to balance, its all good.
